The wishing well pub was not accommodating. On our first night, the bar closed at 10.30 which seemed earlier than usual, we were made to feel that we had to leave and the security man was not happy about our presence. The following morning we went down for breakfast at around 9.30. The coffee and tea section was left unkempt and the staff didn't seem to be bothered. We waited over an hour for our breakfast which when brought to the table was incorrect. No excuses or apologies were made which was very disappointing.

Lorraine on reception was extremely helpful and from the start of the visit was pleasant and approachable. A very nice lady.

Unfortunately, the rooms either side of me were exceptionally noisy - to the point that the night manager realised something was going on and had the corridor on watch.

I felt a little selfish for accepting a room designed for dissabled people and in future will refuse it, even if that means finding soemwhere else to stay. Lorries parked outside the room overnight and I was awoken at early hours as they fired up to move on. I was told I could not get a VAT reciept fo the food bill I had to pay at the end. This, apparantely, was because I had checked out only seconds earlier. If I'd have been told this, I would have not checked out until the bills and receipts had been settled in full.

The experience was generally adiquate for our needs and the staff were friendly enough. The food was good and the choice was wide enough for me. The rooms were confortable and clean.

Went to breakfast at 8.45am nobody there then a lady arrived saying sorry she would get someone...10 minutes a gentleman arrived took room number said sit anywhere...no bread juices milk of sugar were out..had to ask..another couple doing the same ..had to ask for tea came in plastic cups like takeaway..table not cleaned of dirty dishes even when staff came to table..a breakfast came out confused..waitress thought table number but it was our room number lucky my husband guessed..a few just wanted to stand behind the bar and chat

The bathroom could do with a little care on the toilet roll holder as this was loose, and there was a very dodgy floor board in the corridor not far from my room they felt like it was giving way when you walked on it.

The room was spacious and comfortable if a little dated. The breakfast was good and hot could benefit from the addition of an alternative fruit juice to just orange. The staff were really friendly and helpful even when someone set off the fire alarm by leaving the bathroom door open while showering at 11pm.

Noisy fan in the bathroom, Bed too soft with lumps in the mattress. not enough tea sugar coffee etc. NO HAIRDRYER When paying £90 for a room i expected to find a hairdryer.

I requested gluten free bread which was confirmed but email and at check in, but none was available at breakfast. If i would have been told i could have brought my own.

The room was run down and in need of a refurb - door damaged/loose, sink cracked, taps leaking and sealant to all areas applied by a drunk with a catapult. We checked what time evening meals ceased before going out in the afternoon. Got back 2 hours before the time stated and tried to order an evening meal to be told the kitchen wasn't taking any more orders for various reasons including the chef had throw a hissy fit! - even the waitresses hadn't been told the kitchen had stopped work.

Front of house staff were great. Friendly greeting and very helpful. They are being sadly let down by other staff, poor management and a lack of investment. The room was comfortable but see above.

Being charged £100 without any contact from the reception team for smoking in the room and cigerette left on window ledge which was already there on our arrival.

Quite a long wait in the restaurant on the Saturday night but we were told this when the food was ordered. Food good value for money.

Stayed with 3 year old grandson who loved the indoor play area which was free to hotel guests.ample car parking. Thank you for the extra milk from reception.
