The hotels guests are mainly coach parties - so although this does not impact on room and general service, it means that the dining area becomes very crowded and if you have anything other than the provided buffet, there may be delays. Having said that, our waitress was excellent.

Tourist buses and large numbers of people meant overworked staff which meant reduced service. We were promised things we didn’t get.

Room looked out on to carpark. Hotel had several coach parties which occupied the restaurants meaning we were seated opposite the kitchen door on a shared table at the restaurant entrance. Staff were over run and delays in serving. Our selected desserts were not available due to the coach party numbers.

Room and location were fine, as were staff. Food was ok and the hotel provided a free bottle of wine with dinner.

Clean and comfortable rooms even if the beds were small. Luckily I'm only 5'2". Nice touches like free water help. I thought room service prices were really reasonable. Breakfast was excellent.

There was no plug in the bathroom sink which made it impossible to wash/shave with ease.This was reported as soon as discovered and we were promised a plug. However, never brought one or offered an explanation. Poor service!

Breakfast buffet was quite comprehensive. The hotel was far cheaper than hotels in Fort William. The evening dinner buffet was good value for money.

The building and facilities are very very old and dated.

Amazing staff: very kind, always available, flexible and very very professional. In particular Denise, she was so sweet and kind to take care of our requests to change the room due to a broken window and very important and helpful for us to fix a very tough situation (we had a flat tyre in the middle of the day), compared to the very poor assistance of our rental car.

It’s a bit rundown, bedroom windows handles /open mechanism broken, scruffy furniture, buffet style breakfast and evening meal was hit of miss, loads of coach parties in and a lot of people examining what food was available in the buffet. evening meal time starting 6:30pm is too late, we tried evening meal once then ate elsewhere as it wasn’t very good. Restaurant Staff need more training and to pay attention to what’s going on..

The grounds are amazing, very handy location for both upper and lower Tyndrum train stations, room was comfortable enough, really at £76 per night per head for room breakfast and dinner you can’t complain, especially where it is based. Asian girl on reception was very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again but would be room only and no meals as I don’t like buffet style service.
