The kitchen ventilation fans we noisy outside our window (which was open because it was a warm evening. They didn't go off until after midnight.

Location for the theatre is excellent. Also good restaurants & bars in the neighborhood.

Room size/layout. As a solo traveller the room was adequate, however as a couple it could have felt cramped. Bed was comfy but took up most of the room! Only one side of bed had a shelf to lay things down on - eg. phone, book, cup. Hanging space was limited and there was nowhere to place folded clothes. I had a 5th floor room so a view would have been nice, but sadly mine was of a bare wall and the back area of neighbouring premises. However I didn't visit Newcastle to spend time gazing out a hotel window!

Fantastic location. Very central, just a few minutes walk from the theatre and main shops & restaurants. Cathedral and Castle were a 5 minute walk away, and Quayside within 15 minutes. Modern hotel partly within old building. Entrance area has the "wow" factor! Clean and fresh feel to whole hotel. Lovely big lounge/bar area with additional outdoor seating area. Average sized room with comfy bed. Friendly, helpful staff. I was offered an umbrella one rainy morning; and after arriving back, hungry, very late one evening the man at reception suggested places that would still be serving food, even offering to walk me across to the nearby 24 hour shop.

The only downside for me is that it wasn't communicated at check in that breakfast wasn't included. The next morning, upon finding that out, I paid for my breakfast, only to find out it was only a continental breakfast, not a cooked one.

The price and location were the selling points for me. Right in the city centre and at a very competitive price. The staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable.

Shower gel and hand soap wasn’t the best smelling but that’s just me and my preference and should of remembered my own

Staff were really friendly and gave us some great advice of where to go. Allowed us to check in early rather than just leave bags. Location couldn’t have been any better for us, right bang in the middle of some decent bars.

Breakfast is ok but not amazing. No dislikes.

Central Hotel close to shops, bars, restaurants and theatre. modern feel. Stay every time we visit Newcastle. Good value ,reasonable price. We found it to be quite quiet for sleeping which is a bonus. Good lattes.
