    - No shutters and curtains are not completely blocking out light so it's not great when you like sleeping in the dark - Can be quite noisy depending on where your room is located

    - Location was perfect : next to the train station and conveniently located between the Old and the New Town - Good size room - Good value breakfast buffet

Overpriced for that weekend for some reason went from 80-90 for a night to £180 that particular weekend, not value for money despite location. Also given disability room which lower washbasin with a bad back was not good.

    Location and staff were excellent

That breakfast was quite expensive. The lounge area wasn't very comfortable for breakfast.

The shelving, wardrobe, little desk were helpful.

This chain is known for being rather basic. There are no hooks or places to put your things during your stay except for the few hangers that are attached to the bed and wall. There is no closet. There is no luggage rack in the room. There is coffee and tea in the room, but it’s one of the few hotels that doesn’t have a little Scottish treat as well. There is no USB plug in the room. (They are common and most other hotels in Scotland, even in small villages.)

The location of the hotel makes it ideal for exploring the city. It is on the main shopping street and around the corner from the tram stop that goes directly to the airport. It’s also across the street from the train station. There are plenty of delicious restaurants in the area. We had the hotel breakfast one morning and found it plentiful, although my partner went elsewhere as he wanted a hot meal. The second morning, I joined him at the snack bar around the corner, which serves a delicious breakfast for half the price. The room is a good size and comfortable.

Our room has no view at all. The room's lightning is not powerful enough. There is a weird loud noise of water running while using the bathroom.

The central location in front of the Edinburgh Waverley train station. Helpful and friendly staff, available 24/7. Spacious room with comfortable bed.

There was some construction going on near the entrance, but it really didn't affect our stay in a meaningful way.

Location is perfect. Staff was helpful. Room was clean and stylish. I asked for a quiet room and was surprised that it was actually calm and quiet despite being in the city centre. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely use it again for our next trip.

Thin walls (you can hear normal conversation from next room), early morning noise from workers building scaffold arround hotel. In that case it has to be some discount on total price!

Although the room was very good in most ways, and reasonably sized, it felt somehow claustrophobic. I don’t think I would want to stay there for more than one night. That’s just me and other people may feel differently, but I have stayed in hotels with nicer rooms in Edinburgh and those hotels were also cheaper and had free breakfast.

Very convenient to transport. Very clean and well appointed, although there is no wardrobe as such (but there is a hanging space. The bathroom was excellent and had one of the best showers I’ve had in a Scottish hotel. The room itself was spotless but very bland and almost clinical.

We asked for an extra blanket. None was present in the room when we returned. However, when we asked again then after some waiting we got one to carry to our room.

Rooms are clean (even though one of them needed to freshen up by opening a window). The location (being close to the train station) is excellent if you need a place to have a good sleep before catching a morning train.

Firstly great accommodation as it was newly renovated e.g the bathroom, perfect mattress, complementary coffee and tea, eco sound proof room. We stayed on the 4th floor which was quite warm and no need for the heating. The location is exactly where you need to be in order to visit all the best of Edinburgh monuments without needing any transportation. Next to the shopping center -2 min and 4 min walk to Air link bus 100 to the airport.

Paid extra for a ‘city’ view, window was small and high, had to climb on a chair to see out, room was tiny, bathroom unbelievably small although shower was a decent size, no complementary bottled water, no glasses, only paper cups.

Location was fantastic, staff were lovely, public area, lounge etc.. really classy and well laid out

Absolutely no view from the window. If you stretched yourself and look up on one side of the window, you can see a little glimpse of the sky. The tea kettle cupboard in the room is in a strange location, it can't be open if you want to go to bathroom (eg. to get water in your kettle). Why is the bathroom door on the side of the bed? It would be much better on the other side of the bathroom where the room door is.

Location perfect in the city center. Breakfast on extra cost is worth the money (but not cheap in any way).

I think it would be nice to have real mugs and glasses in the room rather than paper cup (not environmentally friendly).

Rm 307. We booked late and there were very few rooms available near old town where we wanted to be. Your price was reasonable. Room met all of our expectations: clean, comfortable, kind friendly staff.
