We stayed at Motel One in Market Street Friday to Sunday this weekend. I booked Tuesday to Wednesday also. Big surprise when we were told to go to the "sister hotel" in Princes Street. Short walk, but with heavy luggage, quite annoying. Arriving at the reception desk carrying our big bags we eventually got attention. What do you want?? She askes. Eriksen it is, I say. Do you want to check in?? Yes please. I show the confirmation mail with the confirmation number. What is your name? Can you spell it? I am a bit stressed now, but I find my name in writing. After this unfortunate welcoming, everything was quite alright.

Location is perfect in city center. Very clean and nice room. With extra space. Nice lobby with city view.

When we checked in we were charged for the room, despite having pre-paid! After some discussion we were offered a refund for the double payment.

Great location, safe and clean place. Comfy bed, good shower. The staff was helpful and kind, including the cleaning team, that we usually do not interact much. Good value, great place. Would stay again.

Unfortunately we arrived quite late and only stayed one night so didn't have time to make the most of our stay but it was extremely comfortable, friendly and well located. We look forward to a longer stay next time!

During our stay in feel the rooms are not too sound proof type i feel ashamed they might hear me snoring.

We did look at the breakfast available for a fee but felt it wasn't worth the price.

Room was clean and varily large. Location was awesome and relative to everything. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and left after check out and both times our luggage was put away in a locked room at no charge. Lots of UK hotels and pubs have gone to a cashless system but we were able to pay by cash here for our room.

Paid £179 didn’t include breakfast for that money not worth it just for bed. Not even a bottle water in room stayed in many hotels ones lot cheaper an always had water. Paper cups very dangerous if having tea coffee to hold ☹️

Room decor was and feel was stripped down to a basic budget hotel room. I was not expecting to pay £162 per night for a room with nothing in it, and a disabled toilet that made it feel like a Hospital room. Simply not good enough. Breakfast was below expectations, definitely not in line with other hotels with similar prices. £14 for the breakfast you offer is simply not good enough.

Location is great, right next to St Andrews Square, minute away from George Street and Waverley Train Station. Bed was very comfortable, water in the shower had good pressure.
