It is located on a hill so lots of walking up hill but fine if you are mobile. Our bathroom bin also hadn’t been emptied prior to our arrival but this wasn’t a huge issue for us.

It was in a very central location to all beaches and shops, the room was clean and tidy and we felt very comfortable and secure here.

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. They made great recommendations of places to go in Newquay! We couldn’t have asked for a better host! Great location too - only a short walk to the centre.

No bedside table and bit squishy with two females with lots of baggage 🤣 Suggestion - one single bed instead of two in room with bedside table and tall wardrobe as then would be more room for single person. Single person would be lucky to stay here with location and view. Sliding bathroom would prefer usual door.

Host was so good with communication, excellent service. The decor exceeded my expectations and the host was super friendly, great communication throughout. Great sea view In room and lovely decor throughout. Light and airy and clean No noise at night, lovely quiet hostel. Perfect for single person.

From booking, Ashton was very communicative and checkin was easy via the key boxes. The room was well set up and clean. the location couldn’t have been better for us! We really enjoyed visiting the bar, and Ashton was a gracious host. Would definitely stay again!

I cannot praise Ashton enough for going above and beyond to help meet our needs. I booked for 2 of my workers to stay and he changed their rooms to accommodate their needs and helped with parking a large van! I book a lot of accommodation all over the country and wish all hosts were half as accommodating as Ashton! :)

I was disappointed that the bar below was closed from Mon-Thur. Not indicated anywhere on the booking page and its one of the reasons we elected to stay in a hostel-style accommodation, rather than a hotel - for the community and buzz. Missing little touches that would make this place perfect - side tables or surfaces, more hangers, hooks.

Really clean rooms and nice decor throughout. The lodge is new, so it feels very fresh. The staff were really friendly and the location was great (5 min walk to centre of town and probably max. 10 to the beach). Self-check in made it so easy to come and go as we needed! Parking never an issue. Beautiful views of the sea from the windows :)

A little uncomfortable is a sliding door to the bathroom, the bar is opened from, no breakfast and the hostel is on top of the hill - after dinner and some drinks is hard to get in there ;)

The hostel is in quite good a nice area. 10 mins walking from Fistral beach and 10 mins from the town centre. Behind the building is a private car park. A room is not too big, but for a couple is enough. Personel is absolutely the best, drink in the bar are really good!

We spent 52 pounds to live in the slum. The room was very small, maybe only 6 square metres, and it was difficult to turn around. There are no bedside lamps and bedside sockets, and the two floors share a yellow old bathroom and a narrow toilet. The stairwell is very narrow and steep, and the washbasin is easily blocked. In a word, living here can have a good experience of the crampy life of seafarers on ships in the 19th century, which is an unforgettable experience for Newquay.

The room was too cramped and too small for 2 people. The picture shows and it is written as 'twin bed'. Only when you go and read carefully in the booking, you realize it is twin bunk bed. Daily cleaning inside the room was not done and neither cleaning supplies were available for us to atleast broom the room. Maybe if I would have asked, it might have happened so giving a benefit of doubt.

The location was great. Very close to beach, town center, bus stop and railway station. Small and quiet hostel with not much disturbance. One of the cheapest stay that was available when we had visited. Despite being 'hostel', we two got a private room (even if bunk bed) so not bad! All communication was on point through the App even if it was a no contact hostel. Quite polite person who was coordinating (don't know the name)
