The selection of meals at the restaurant were a bit limited. Regarding the room, the bathtub was leaking a bit, making the water level drop slowly when bathing.

Facilities were very nice and property well groomed. Very nice golf course. Room was large and comfortable. Comfortable sitting areas to Enjoy a drink or conversation with others.

Mattress a bit hard. Would prefer a walk in shower.

Beautiful grounds and castle. Always clean. Staff always helpful and pleasant. The highlight of the stay was the oystercatcher family in the courtyard.

I checked out at the desk. The young man took my key fabs and said we were good to go. There was no printed receipt or mention of an additional charge, so I assumed the amount we paid via Booking.com was accurate. Once we returned home, I saw Dalmahoy charged us an additional £40.75 ($51.13 USD). I have received no explanation what this charge was for. Frustrating.

The night receptionist guy (with a beard) that met us on arrival was terrible. He was rude and told us all the incorrect important about food not being served and we could only eat that evening in expensive restaurant! Which was incorrect. The price of the room I expected top customer service from the start and it really ruined our stay.

The hotel and room was great. The food didn’t quite live up to the surroundings and was over priced for what it was. Also the bar was closed when we arrived at 11:30pm even though a 1am closing was advertised. But Very pleasant and helpful staff. Overall, a great stay.

We had dinner once at the main restaurant - the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great in the mornings too, good selection of food and all well cooked.

A little far from city center, if you don’t have car, it might take longer time if want to visit city center.

The restaurant food was terrible, the reception staff was very unkind. We were sent a message that if our room was available before check in we could get our keys otherwise if we wanted to guarantee a room we had to pay. When we arrived a bit earlier they said our room was ready but we still couldn’t check in unless we paid extra. I do not like being told one thing and then something else is done. Also they were very unkind, and snobby. Not even acknowledging us when we walked it.

The grounds are stunning, the wildlife is beautiful and the building itself is lovely. The location is not too far from the city, only a quick and easy 25 minutes on the bus.

Rooms average; no a/c; small beds (superior room); instant coffee, no machine; some flaws in bathroom (no brush, handle toilet weak) bar above swimming average: 3 burned pizza's; swimming pool nice, but some times too busy (around 20 in pool), no changing rooms; coffee in restaurant for bf is bad, tea in Scotland is always from cup? No nice presentation with e.g. tea pot, real tea? For this price a bummer
