Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

What a gem of place to stay. Right next to the train station. Greeted at reception with a glass of fizz. The room provided everything you needed. Love the idea of the sink in the hall separate from the shower and toilet. Has a complimentary mini bar with a carton of milk for your coffee. Lots of other goodies too. Staff in the bar area very attentive. Wonderful experience, we will be back.

Fabulous hotel. Centrally located, spotlessly clean, great facilities and extras in the room (good hairdryer, straighteners, steamer, gowns and slippers plus a good selection of local drinks and nibbles). Terrace bar had a lovely atmosphere. Asked for two rooms beside each other which we got.

The location of the Hotel was perfect for us very near to Waverley Train Station, on arrival 1140 our room was ready which was a real bonus, we were offered a glass of champagne which was a very nice touch, champagne offered with our breakfast as well, the breakfast choices were great and good quality, to behest we couldn't find any faults with this hotel and we would recommend to our friends.

United KingdomOur room was facing the back of a hostel and steps. There are no curtains for privacy you have to literally close solid wooden shutters which cuts out any natural light. We was told that the Windows had blacked out glass however this is not accurate. When walking around at the back street we could see directly in our room so beware. Apart from this we loved everything.
The location and the general atmosphere once inside the hotel is is one of the best we have stayed in on a city break. The top floor restaurant and champagne bar is a very nice touch. We spent our first evening drinking and eating from the small plate menu. Perfect after travelling. You’re given a free glass of champagne upon arrival and at breakfast and there is a complimentary bar in the room. Staff all very helpful.
