Everything was exceptional; accommodating staff, attention to detail, breakfast and amenities (LOVE the Haeckels local business touchpoint!) Suze really looked after us and was so kind and generous. Could not recommend it more!

Decor is incredible! Staff was fantastic & a beautiful breakfast in bed. Book this amazing hotel, 8 min walk (4 min taxi) to Old Town. Staff recommended great hotels & hotspots. You will not be disappointed!

The place was perfect, a brand new renovation with exquisite design and style, the staff were all lovely and the rooms were fantastic. Breakfast delivered to the rooms each morning was an extra treat. Would absolutely stay again.

Not many hangers for clothes

Stunning decor, drawing room with log fire was so cosy, breakfasts pastries, staff welcoming and friendly providing excellent advice on local places, large beautiful room, amazing snack drawer, the best shampoo, conditioner etc. the bed was so comfy and loved the little radio in the room

The room was really big and it felt like it was missing a rolltop bath, that would have been incredible!

Extremely comfortable room, the whole guest house is gorgeous, it’s been finished to such a high standard, the decor is very inspiring! Very helpful and friendly front of house staff. The breakfast (enjoyed in bed!) was delicious, my husband would have preferred a cooked breakfast option but the pastry and yogurt were perfect for me.

Would have preferred the bedside lights to switch off independently. In the future I think that handrails outside the property, down the steps, would be helpful.

Loved the huge croissants! Liked the fact that different coffee options were available e.g. decaffeinated latte at breakfast. Thought that the complimentary snacks in the room were a good idea. The service all round was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Our stay at Margate House was an absolute delight, and the staff truly excelled as impeccable hosts! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and complimentary drinks, a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our entire visit. What's more, their hospitality extended beyond check-in; every time we returned to the house, they kindly offered us refreshments. Our trip to Margate was to celebrate my mum's birthday, and Margate House went above and beyond to make it special. A bottle of delightful local wine awaited us in our room, which was a lovely surprise and a perfect way to start the celebration. Margate House itself is a masterpiece of design and curation. The ambiance was not only visually stunning but also smelt incredible with burning candles and a lovely range of perfumes to try. Our room was equally impressive, with a thoughtful array of complimentary snacks and locally sourced Heackles products in the bathroom. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and inviting. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast served right to our door. It was a delightful way to begin our day, featuring delectable local pastries, fresh orange juice, and a selection of fresh fruit. A massive thank you to Lucas and the incredible team at Margate House for making our stay so memorable. Your attention to detail and warm hospitality made our trip truly special.

Enjoyed the stay, the people and the chat.

The breakfast was good - the best croissants ever! However, it became a touch samey after eight days. How to ring the changes needs a little more consideration. It was good to have the option to come down or take in the room. The location was fine although the area could have been a little better and Margate as a whole could offer more

Just a, literally, TINY, quibble - our room was a bit cramped although the facilities and service made up for it . The shower cubicle may not suit larger people. Next time we will book a larger room as we loved the place so much.

First of all, we were greeted with such warmth by the charming Suze into the fabulous lounge and offered a drink (and a chat). The bed was super comfy. The products were great with no tiny annoying little bottles in sight. The snack drawer was a very nice touch. The continental breakfast was great (great croissants). We really like the informal yet luxurious vibe, no TV and the lovely smells all around. Also, not being turfed out at 10 AM like most places was a plus as it allowed us to relax a bit in the morning. Can't wait to return.

It’s fabulous. New so a few teething problems but nothing was too much for the staff and it was one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed. So close to fantastic bars and cafes and a stones throw from gorgeous and not crowded beaches.. go you won’t regret it

Beautiful property, very modern and stylish and also very comfortable. Lovely facilities in the room including the seaweed products. Very friendly staff, noting was too much trouble and they were always on hand to answer queries. Lovely quiet location within easy walking distance of good restaurants and the beaches. Couldn’t fault it. Gorgeous!
