Very clean and good location. Bar staff and reception staff were very helpful and attentive to customer care.

The only thing that could have been better was the lightening in the room. It was very dark / lights were very dull and it made getting ready exceptionally hard. The setup was fine for a couple, but if you were travelling with a friend, you’ve no privacy in the shower!

The hotel is lovely. Very modern and great bar / restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely.

Room was small even though it was a club room Air conditioning was not effective and kept switching off making the room extremely hot at night We were not informed that the room would be made up between 11am - 4pm so kept chasing for our room ro be made up Impossible to get a reservation at the spa with staff not available on the spa reception and no response from appointment email requests

Disappointed that the roof top bar, which was a "selling point" for the hotel, was closed on the two evenings of our stay!

Well located for the train station and for getting in to the Centre of York for cafes, shops, restaurants etc. The complimentary drinks voucher as a "thank-you" for not requiring housekeeping during our stay.

Not enough staff at roof top bar. Staff were very busy so not their fault but after 15 mins and no drink order taken or blankets brought for the cold, we left.

The air con on the room would not go low I had an unpleasant warm night perhaps a spare sheet in case people don't want a thick quilt on all night.

Rooms on one side of the hotel slightly noisier despite the double glazing. This wouldn't be a problem for you unless you are a very light sleeper.

I didn’t notice that the roof top bar/restaurant is closed on mon/tues so that was disappointing for my stay as I only got to go up there quickly on the Weds afternoon before I left. The hotel was very warm on the nights I stayed, air con in the rooms but not sure what was going on across the main building. I think for the price, breakfast should be included.

Location - perfect! City wall just literally outside the hotel. Nice enough away from the hustle and bustle of main central area yet just a 10 min walk to most things! General aesthetics of the hotel were great and met expectations shown on the site. Really liked the touch of a “drinks voucher” if you opt out of room cleaning for an eco friendly approach. Fridge in the room. Staff super attentive and approachable. Local amenities really close by (local supermarkets)

The design of the bathroom. The lack of a mirror at a suitable height over the wash hand basin, the lights on a motion sensor going off too quickly to allow time to operate the safe. It was a pity the roof top bar is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Mattresses are weird, although comfy every movement on any side causes the mattress to wobble thus disruption the partner's sleep on the other end.

Rooms are modern but not practical. Nowhere to sit, except on the bed. A chaise lounge is in the room, but you can't sit on it as it's under the tv cupboard, and you hit your head. Bedside tables, but no cupboard or drawers. Only 2 drawers in the wardrobe. No shelves. There was heavy rain during our stay but nowhere to hang our wet coats up in the room. The bathroom was lovely and modern, but again, not a shelf or a hook. Nowhere to put wet towels, except on the small radiator, or the floor. On arrival we were asked if we wanted our room serviced, bit shocked, why wouldn't we? Realised its obviously to reduce cost - hotel cost, not ours. Most hotels ask you to not change towels every day. No suggestion of that, but as there is nowhere to leave your wet towel to dry, you obviously need fresh towels every day. Rooftop lounge not open Mon/Tue. No other bar available.

New, modern and clean. Location was good. Breakfast was good, albeit fairly expensive. Great to have onsite carpark, but again, expensive.

The difficulty I had in your hotel was with the lighting/electrics in my room. I found it very difficult to know how to switch on the lights. And some automatic lights came on, but went out when I was still using the cupboard.

They charged you for a bottle of water without asking. They automatically bring you water and charge you for this and we thought it was tap water in a bottle.

Love the roof top bar especially on a warm day.
