We arrived at the hotel about 7pm with some trepidation as there were a group of people at the door having a screaming session, the manager told us this level of noise would not continue after 10pm. We reached the room via the stairs, the lift was out of order (and the notice seemed to have been there for some time) we found only 1 mug, 1 espresso cup, 1 spoon and no glasses. My wife went to reception to ask for glasses and another mug, she was told by the manager(?) that it was one room so one mug and no glasses were provided. After some discussion she was given two pint beer glasses (for the bathroom!) and he said he would bring another mug in 20 minutes, which he did. The shower room door had been damaged by an earlier visitor, the light fitting in the shower room above the mirror was broken, the thermostatic shower never got above tepid. As to the beds one mattress was supported by a sheet of particle board(?) the other mattress the springs made it impossible so I slept on rather than under the duvet On trying to check out the reception and the dining room were closed, there was no member of staff anywhere, the front door was unlocked and open. There was a phone number at reception to contact for assistance, I tried several times but no one was there. We had a train to catch and time was running out so I contacted Booking.com but they could make no contact though did send an email which seemed to have worked. We had a phone call from the manager who told us to push the key through the gap in the shutter at reception, not an acceptable solution as a £50 deposit against damage to the bedroom was charged with no way of proving that we had not caused damage, he said the deposit would be refunded in 2 days.

The room appeared to have been recently painted but was quite 'bare'. The room and bed linen were clean, the room was hot. and the radiator thermostat worked.

Very dated, and stains on the carpet in our room. The bathroom was very dirty, and the toilet moved when you sat on it. Tiles around the sink are broken. Definitely needs a revamp and good clean. Parking was terrible aswell

The night staff, He was very rude. Threatened to kick me and my friend out accusing us of having other people in the room and even followed us to our room to check. He threatened to kick us out and was generally very rude to us

Couldn’t get to sleep due to hearing every noise throughout the hotel, plus from 1am-3am, (clocks went back at 2, so technically 4am) there was a guest and man at reception having a row about bedbugs in his room and being refused a refund. I ended up having to be on a mobility scooter, and when I rang up I spoke to a lovely gentleman who assured me that there would be staff there who would lift it up and down the outside stairs for me, however when it came to check out the man at reception was very moody with me, and asked me if I can just drive it down the steps (6 steep steps in the rain), he then suggested he just bumped it down the stairs himself and I said that would break it, in the end he ended up getting 3 other guests to help me.

Location When I phoned in advanced and explained I needed to bring a mobility scooter due to being on crutches the guy on the phone was lovely, moved us into a ground floor room, and assured me someone would help with the scooter and the stairs.

The main lighting in one of the rooms didn’t work, the carpet and facilities were in need of a revamp. The cups provided were dirty, the room myself and my partner stayed in was pretty cramped. I wouldn’t book for a get away but it was literally one night in where we literally needed to sleep after a night out. The parking situation was explained as having none- which is fine given the location of the hotel- but it would have been useful to be given the information of nearest car parks when I asked about the parking situation.

We were unable to sleep because the bed and mattress were uncomfortable and unacceptable for any sleep. It is our opinion that these items should be thrown out and replaced.

The decor of the room was clean and the room had been prepared and the bedding and towels were clean.

When we first checked in, stood at reception for way too long before we managed to get the attention of the man at reception who was too busy with his head down watching tiktok on full volume, had to borderline shout to him before he heard me after three attempts of getting his attention, then said nothing to us while he printed out receipts for us, didn’t tell us anything about check out time etc. literally just sent us in the direction of our room and that was it… never had any service like that ever before, it was just so strange. The bed was so uncomfortable i didn’t sleep well and it just looks like during the ‘cleaning’ process after guests have stayed is that the bedding is changed and toilets are bleached (and not actually cleaned as the bleach was still in the toilet when we arrived) and that’s it. Genuinely don’t recommend this place, go literally anywhere else and save your money.

Cleanliness of carpet in room is awful, mattress not comfortable as in own house.

I always read reviews of hotel before booking,so reviews mainly wasn't good,so I didn't expect nothing special.We were looking just to sleep and pay as much less as we can and this hotel was good for that.If you want comfort, this hotel is not for that.The best thing about hotel is location,about 5 min walk to the beach.

Pillows had no sheets. Curtains didn't fit so light came through from the street. So theres more good points than bad but unfortunately for us these two things hampered are sleeping quite a bit which is key for us in a hotel.

5 to 10 min walk from beach. Enough beds for family of 4 in one room. Cheaper than others. Check out up till 11am.

3 of us stayed here, the facilities were very basic and standard the hotel as a whole needs an upgrade for a 2star hotel 15mins from the beach it should be better we paid £74.00 each for 1 night and it wasn’t good value for money. It was also very noisy to the point it sound like the people outside were inside your room, the carpets and curtains were old fashioned, the hotel is decorated as a whole in an old fashioned way.
