Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was very clean and comfy, the shower was very nice, nice hot water which can be controlled to any temperature. Lovely toiletries and the cleanness was outstanding. I only had two problems one was the lift- my sons had a electric wheel chair so he had to swap rooms with me, and I also had a pram and the corridor had steps half way through and it makes it hard for prams and wheelchair to walk to other rooms, we booked two rooms and they were on different floors and different corners so we struggled abit with that. Am the other was the breakfast was confusing as you had to order hot food at the till and then cold breakfast was a buffet option. Never seen this at other hotels, other than that the breakfast was pleasing.

United KingdomSmall car park. Had to run hot water for at least 5 mins before it got hot. Not a lot of storage in the room and quite small.
Lovely staff, good food, dog friendly. Nicely decorated. Handy for town and train station.

United KingdomMy dislikes were mainly of our disabled access room The mattress used on the bed in the disability access room we stayed in was far too high and awkward to get on I'd hate to think how someone in a wheelchair would manage it It was also too soft and myself and my partner found it uncomfortable Although the bathroom was huge the actual room itself felt cramped and with only one chair someone had to perch on the side of the bed which didn't work due to the height of the mattress The only complaint about the bathroom would be the lack of water pressure in the wash basin tap it trickled out at times I'm sure that could be sorted as the pressure in the shower was excellent
The hotel has only been open a few weeks so everything is very clean and new The food served at the bar was very nice and reasonably priced Breakfast which is included in the price again was excellent and cooked to order The bathroom in the disabled access rooms are excellent Loads of room and the shower was great. The hotel is pet-friendly although they charged us an extra £15 a night for our dog

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like about this hotel. Excellent Value for Money.
Room was on the third floor within the eaves, a little claustrophobic but only there for one night, so no problem. Next time we stay I would request a lower room. Having said that the bedroom and bathroom were stopless. Breakfast super. A choice of hot or cold or both.

United KingdomEverything, food staff room location.
Dave and all the staff ,fantastic, food 5*, location excellent, my advice is dont waste your time staying anywhere else in lytham, this place is the best and considering the tariff and the room and food quality and the attitude and understanding of the staff, especially if you are travelling with anyone who is infirm or ill my wife as Ms, and is partially sighted, unfortunately she had a pannic attack because of the change of scenery, she was treated with kindness understanding and helped by the staff, once again thank you the team at offshore for a wonderful stay, good luck for the future look forward to my next stay kind regards Alan , New forset Hampshire.

United KingdomAs we stayed with our dogs, we had a room without sea view but this didn't make any difference to our stay - just a preference really. The room was very spacious but felt the bathroom was smaller in comparison- again, this is just a preference and made no difference to our stay. Very modern, clean, and accessible still.
Hotel was very clean and very spacious. Room was large, modern decor, bed was huge with comfortable mattress and lots of comfortable and fluffy pillows with more to be added if needed. The facilities in the bathroom were fab with sea kelp luxurious toiletries including hand wash, shampoo and conditioner that smelled beautiful. The staff were very friendly and welcomed our dogs and were able to take into the bar for food. There was also part of the bar kept for those who wished to sit separately if there were allergies or not keen on dogs. There was great breakfast selection with continental options - including cereal etc along with hot options also. Very tasty!

Breakfast needs work, more staff more organised more have a plan in place the staff did their best you can tell it’s all new just felt no supervisor in place running breakfast lady taking orders on till both days was exceptional, really felt for her, just needed a lot more support.

United KingdomParking not ideal - car park not big enough for the size of the hotel but was lucky to get the final space. Breakfast arrangements more complex than they need to be (why not a buffet?) although breakfast itself was very nice when it arrived.
Very recently renovated to a high standard, so everything very clean and in great condition. Location good, staff friendly, beds comfy. Would recommend and would definitely go back there again.
