The place was fantastic we can not say a bad word about it. If we ever come back to Newcastle, this is the first place we will look to stay as it was that good. Best place we've stayed when we've booked through booking.com. Thank you for an amazing stay.

There was a bit of a musky smell, don’t know what it was, whether it’s to do with the lower ground level being in the basement?

Excellent location, good design and nice and clean, easy to walk into City. Great to have on site parking as well.

Location isn't as good for the centre as other places we've stayed in. Other than that only a very few little things but overall great.

Really good communications. Very clean, great spaces and well laid out. Comfy rooms. Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property, easy walk across the bridge into central Newcastle. Check in was easy and the owners were great communicators. We all slept comfortably and the apartment is well stocked with everything you need. Will be back to stay again

The Host/Owner and Apartment Manager are both amazing and were so helpful, going above an beyond to help me when we managed to get lost on a Sunday evening. Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble. So kind to come out and help me on a cold Sunday evening. The only recommendation I would like to give is to have an information folder with all the instructions for things like the washing machine, apartment door lock, passcode for front door, tips and tricks etc. I know the apartment is brand new so this is truly just down to not enough feedback from visitors yet, as every ones knowledge is different. e.g. I had never come across a door lock like the apartments, so it took a while to work it. Which is purely down to my lack of knowledge but I think others may struggle working it out also The apartment is beautifully presented exceptionally clean and very well equipped. The added private parking is a real bonus. My advice & The Hosts is if driving use google maps NOT your cars sat nav as recent roads have been pedestrianised/cycle lane added but only show up on Google maps. However I would highly recommend staying at any of Vanguards Apartments you will not be disappointed.

Lack of privacy in the living room as a big window looks onto it with no curtain - not ideal if using the sofa bed. Lack of ventilation being a basement apartment.

The interior corridor to the front door so some noise but not too intrusive.

The owner Marie is super helpful if any issues. You can see she takes great pride in her property too. Stylish furnishings and comfortable beds.

There were no mattress or pillow protectors on the single beds. But that said, the bedding was lovely and clean. The single beds are narrow, ok for our teenage children but an adult might find them a bit narrow.

The property was clean, well equipped and beautifully presented. It felt safe and secure and was very quiet. Communication with owner was excellent. The property is over two floors with the living room and en-suite bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine.

Location, of our apartment was located in the basement which I hadn't realised. It was very damp and musty smelling. Not a great first impression. No windows to open for fresh air. Only window opened into basement which didn't offer any air. Felt a little bit trapped. No privacy from the huge window with people walking right past it in the evening. For us having g windows to open and easy access to outside is essential and this flat didn't offer that which was a shame because it is done up beautifully the style, size and facilities inside are brilliant.

Apartment itself was lovely, clean, fresh spacious. Well resourced. Comfortable beds, free parking.
