Everything perfect

Owners left some biscuits, tea and crisps for us on arrival, which was a nice touch. Also plenty of firewood and kindling to start the fire. Lovely property with everything you could expect.

The property was so cosy, clean, modern and the facilities were really good. The kitchen was well equipped and had a range of utensils and a good variety of glasses and crockery.

Being tall, a king size bed makes all of the difference so a double bed will never be great. It didn't spoil our stay as overall this cottage was wonderful.

The remote location was great, new places to discover, to have an entire cottage was wonderful, it's a very cosy home. Over 4 days/3 nights we ventured out for just 4 hours plus one evening meal at the local pub (which we can also recommend) and staying in (whilst it rained horizontally) was so enjoyable in this cosy cottage, we loved it. Next time, I'll get around to lighting the log burner just for the experience.

Everything was provided that you need in a house, all cooking and kitchen equipment. There was lots of games for the children to play on rainy days. The bathrooms were very modern and clean.

Very little to fault! The mirror in the ensuite is quite low for a tall person so perhaps another in the main bedroom would be helpful.

The cottage is so well equipped and the hosts have thought of everything to make the stay easy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and crickety you could think to need, all the materials you need to light the fire and USB plugs etc all really great little touches. The book with walks you can do from the doorstep was very helpful.

The only thing we could fault would be that there was housework occurring next door and the drilling did get a little frustrating at times. However, that did not take away from the actual cottage and we enjoyed our stay nonetheless!

The house was lovely, had great facilities and was very clean! It had wonderful scenery around the area and it was a great place to relax and have fun with friends!

great facilities with a really well equipped kitchen. 2 double bedrooms and 2 twins was perfect for a family group from 3yrs old to 70!!! the garden is a real sun trap and the local pub serves great food and is only a 5minute walk away.

What an amazing cottage, very luxurious and exceptional clean. Everything thought of by the hosts. Very helpful and wow what a great location. Highly recommend in fact going to book again next year.

Both showers have a squealing noise on them. But we just laughed this off and this will not put us off going back. One of my sons said he just adjusted the on/off knob and the noise disappeared but this was at the end of our stay.

So comfortable and cosy. We didn't want to come home. Plenty of space, very modern and everything there that you need, the welcome pack was a lovely little touch. Lots of walks and the scenery is amazing. Booked ourselves in to The Punchbowl for an evening meal which is a 5 min walk from the cottage. Food was beautiful and staff welcoming. If you are an older family visiting and want a bit of fun and laughter, you need to play the game 'Charudes'. (They have lots of board games for adults and children). We will definitely be booking up for next year as we fell in love with the place.

Parking might be difficult if you have multiple cars but wasn’t a problem for us.

Beautiful and very well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. We enjoyed being in easy walking distance to the pub and being able to warm up by the fire after a long walk. The cottage was very clean and had everything we could wish for. We had a wonderful stay!
