Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom1. There is no such thing as amenities and service. the apartments are cleaned only if you stay a week of more. no bin bags available to change the bins and none provided even when asked! 2. During the hottest time of the year, there was only one cheap quality fan in the living room. one more fan was promised when requested but it never came. we had to buy our own fans. 3. The person I spoke to every time was very rude and definitely should not handle customer services. they are bringing bad name to the business. 4. Pillows are useable if another cushion is kept underneath them. 5. Most of the blinds are broken so sun light pierces through them early in the morning making a comfortable sleep very difficult.
it is located close to the airport and supermarket is 5-10 min drive away. the beds are comfortable. crockery, cutlery, cooking pans available free parking

United KingdomNo soft lighting in the lounge and the bedroom lamps were not very bright so unable to read in bed. A dishwasher would have been nice but there would have been inadequate crockery and cutlery if there was. (4 mugs only, no wine glasses, limited saucepans and cooking utensils) Patio non existent - it is basically the door from the lounge opening onto the path in front of the building.
Spacious and modern apartment suitable for four adults. Parking was available and very close to the ground floor apartment. Fans were left in the lounge and a bedroom which was very welcome with the warm weather. Location was easy to get to and ok for our trips to Twickenham Stadium.

United KingdomSadly there was quite a lot that could have been better. Initial communication for key pick up didn't happen. It wasn't easy to find (we arrived at night and so it was really dark). Someone was parked in the allotted car park. The neighbours made a lot noise. But our primary issue was with the cleanliness of the apartment - we had to contact the management to get a cleaner in to address the black mould and soap skum buildup in the shower drainage. The oven was too greasy and dirty to even try and cook in. All the crockery, pots/pans and utensils needed cleaning before they could be used. Whilst the sheets were clean the bedding and cushions etc were not. With a little more care and attention this could be a super place but as it was it was only mediocre.
Good sized well appointed apartment with good facilities. Allowed a pet which was great. Had free parking which was handy.

United StatesFlat doesn't have a dishwasher. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice and there is room for one. The door by the bins blows and bangs around in the wind which was a bit annoying, but again, not a big issue relative to our overall stay.
Location was close to airport which we needed. Flat was clean, tidy and in good shape (I think the flats were pretty new construction) Appliances were all pretty good and in good working order, bathrooms were very nice. Check-in and check-out were easy and efficient.

United KingdomThe location was quite far from the center of London. It took us 1 and 1/2 hours by train and bus, and then the line we needed was down for repair over the weekend, so we had to take more city buses. The apartment had no air conditioning, and we couldn’t leave the windows open at night because we were on the first floor, and someone could just climb in the window into our children’s room! So it was hot and stuffy in July, though the rooms did include a fan. Even though it was near Heathrow, the terminal we needed was closed due to Covid, so to catch our plane we had to take the bus and train to another Heathrow terminal, and it’s about a ten-minute walk to the bus stop, rolling your luggage on bumpy concrete, unless you want to spend a fortune on a taxi.
The apartment was very clean, and there were small boxes of breakfast cereal sitting out. It was nice that our family could spread out into different rooms after long days of sightseeing. The bathrooms and showers were wonderful. The price was much less than it would have cost for us to rent two hotel rooms in the city, and we also saved money by cooking our own breakfast and dinner, and using the refrigerator to store picnic foods for lunches. It was nice not having to eat out in London with 5 people because we saved time and money, plus less worry about catching Covid. We loved eating picnics in the park! We stayed 3 nights and did a lot of sightseeing, taking a boat ride on the Thames, seeing a church service in Westminster Cathedral and the Rosetta Stone in the British Museum, and visiting the Warner Brother studios where Harry Potter was filmed. Our children had a great time, and it was also educational!

United KingdomUnfortunately the apartment was very filthy, there was thick clumps of dust in almost every room. We found our bedsheets were covered in small human hair. I'm not sure if that was because the sheets were washed and the hair was from the machine but it actually made me sick. The bathrooms were not clean either. Last thing you want esp since Covid is to find the place you are renting full of dirt.
The 2 bedroom apartment itself was lovely apart from it needing a through clean, the location is brilliant.

United StatesThis place was not clean, especially considering extra cleaning measures were supposed be in place with COVID. There was hair everywhere, a layer of grease on pans, dirty silverware and dishes in drawers and cupboards, no working soap pump in ensuite bathroom shower, dirty/stained touchpoints on walls, switches, doors, and handles, dirty throw pillows, lots of crumbs in sofa bed, and an odd odor. Did 1 load of laundry and need to rewash those clothes now because they reek of mildew smell from machine. Also, foot noise from apartment above was nonstop from 5:00 to ~noon each morning.
Space was good with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and small living room. Location was good for our purposes. Check-in instructions were easy to follow and worked well. Wood floors are beautiful. Wifi and TV worked well.
