Music volume in restaurant could be a bit loud especially at breakfast time, but nothing really!

Breakfast and dinner were great. View from restaurant lovely. Stayed in house 5 mins walk from hotel. Very easy walk. Local ales very good and obviously good whisky selection.

It was difficult to fill the room kettle in sink. Equally, the shelf above the sink made washing ones face difficult for shaving.

Smoked salmon Chouder - absolutely delicious. As was the kipper and poached egg breakfast.

The only issue was eating in the restaurant - the food was lovely but the plates were cold. Fish and chips another night with stone cold peas. Oh and I ordered a lemon cheesecake only to be served a berry cheesecake with no explanation.

Not so big rooms. I was alone so it was ok for me, but I am sure a couple will find it a bit congested.

Location - right at Bowmore center, by the sea with excellent views. Awesome restaurant - good food. Decent facilities.

I had a street view of an Indian restaurant and a very small room which was difficult as an international traveller. There was nowhere to sit and use my laptop except on the bed. I had to work in the dining room or the public bar to get a work surface.

Staff were friendly and the food was plentiful. Location was central to Islay and I was able to use the local buses.

On criticism would be that the top floor bathroom lacks some shelving to put toiletries etc on.

Great location with fantastic views of Loch Indaal. Friendly attentive staff. Good food especially liked the bacon, pancakes & maple syrup for breakfast. Comfortable clean room. Bar has a great selection of whisky.

No parking, no HVAC, and no screens on the windows. It was surprisingly warm do we had to open the windows. Spiders came in the room at night.

Something missing or bit broken almost everywhere, so hence the ‘7’ score. Breakfast for example was almost emptry at 9am even though timing was until 930. Room had a curtain missing on a small window, so light came in early. The hotel seemed short on cleaning staff, so our room was not properly refreshed during a 3 night stay. The list goes on - all was okay but not great.

Check-in staff friendly and helpful, and location is ideally central in Bowmore, with convenient parking, tourist information and shops nearby. We had fairly spacious room with a good bathroom and beautiful views out over the bay. The overall decorationon of the hotel is very tasteful with lots of nice Scottish details.

Lack of comfortable seating in the bar area. Parking is a problem as Hotel is on the main street which is busy and near by parking area is often full.

Very large room with good Sea view. Breakfast good but not always a full menu, the evening menu was very good with lots of seafood available. The Hotel is central and well placed for other attractions on the Island.
