Only (very slight) downside is that the internet could be a bit temperamental - but that's not unusual even today in these lovely and rather remote locations. Some might even consider it a bonus!

Robert's excellent cooking: extensive breakfast - superb porridge to order - it wanted for nothing. I would recommend anyone to "eat in" for a lovely evening meal before trying elsewhere. Room very comfortable and clean with a large bathroom. Bar and lounge attractive and relaxing. Amanda runs an efficient operation and goes to great lengths to answer queries and provide assistance. Close to wonderful walks and scenery of the Trossachs. Definitely a place to return to whenever the opportunity arises.

Amanda and Robert were excellent hosts. They provided tips for exploring the area and the bar, with Robert serving, stayed open late. Bicycle rental at Katrine Wheelz to bike along Loch Katrine is highly recommended. It’s very hilly in parts so e-bike is recommended.

I wish I had booked a lake view room - I tried to change it but all fully booked.

Amanda and Robert were outstanding hosts. They made our stay so enjoyable. Robert is a superb chef and the meals were exceptional. The hotel is right on the lochside so amazing views. Great residents lounge with loch views and a roaring fire on our first night as i had turned a bit chilly. Lovely walks in the area. Amanda is happy to share her local knowledge with guests. There were many guests there who return year after year which says something about it. We loved our stay here = a bit of a step back in time - perfect.

Mattress and pillows not as comfortable as expected. Chairs in room very squeaky. Limited choice of main courses on menu e.g. too many fish dishes, not enough chicken.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Onsite parking. Good facilities - residents' lounge and conservatory, bar and outside patio. Friendly, warm, welcoming staff. Given an unexpected upgrade to room so we had a loch view. Good breakfast selection. Good quality food for dinner.

There's wasn't anything to dislike everything was perfect for us while we stayed here.

Fantastic family run hotel very comfortable, great food and very friendly. Amanda and Rob where totally amazing very helpful and friendly made us feel so comfortable and at ease from the minute we stepped through the door nothing was too much. 100% recommend would most definitely come back. Amazing view's and easy drive to some lovely places of interest.

Slightly awkward getting into bath for a shower due to steps. Comfortable chairs had solid bases and got uncomfortable after a while.

Luckily there were few guests in the rooms next to my room, because the walls are wafer thin.

This is a great place to stay. It overlooks Loch Earn, which is not as famous as the other Lochs, and so was more preferable for me. The hotel and room were clean and the room was spacious. The hostess, Amanda, was very accommodating and approachable.
