How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The Hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The rooms took us by surprise just how spacious they were. We were greeted by a lovely gentlemen as the owner had contacted us in advance to advise us of her absence during our stay, but she gave all the advice we needed prior to our arrival. The owner also contacted us after our stay, on her return to see how our stay was, which I thought was a lovely personal touch. The dining area was very airy and bright & although we didn't have meals on this occasion we did have a lovely full English breakfast on our day of departure. The hotel was in the perfect location for us for the evening show we were going to see & parking was no problem as there was parking very near by just steps away from the hotel. Such a lovely place to stay, would not hesitate to stay again 🙂

The chilled atmosphere , how cosy the rooms were and we felt really at home. Carol was really kind and attentive - it felt like staying with one of your family members as was so comfortable throughout our stay

Caroline was so friendly, and her hotel was beautifully clean and comfortable. It’s super close to the sea front and only a very short distance from the heart of the town. Our room was so homely and warm, with a lovely big bath and big comfy bed. Nothing was too much trouble, and we will definitely stay again next time we are in Blackpool. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

The hotel was clean, and the owners were very friendly. The room was a large size with everything you need. And the breakfast was good with plenty of tea and toast. Will definitely come back.

Lots of stairs but it’s to be expected in properties in Blackpool
Great room and bathroom close to the station and the Blackpool Tower. The owner was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. There was a lovely dining room and lounge although we were not there long enough to take advantage of them

A slightly later check out time would be nicer but they let me have 2 hours longer free of charge!

It was the perfect size for a solo traveler.The bed was really comfortable just wish I could have stayed for the breakfast but had to shoot off due to a family emergency but overall very pleased with my accommodation and the hosts where very friendly and helpful would highly recommend staying here I know I would stay again😊😊😊😊😊

Kids running around upstairs could be felt through the walls and ceiling. Missed not having a shelf or something in the shower to put items onto.
Very comfortable, cosy, warm room, nice decor, great bed + quilt, great shower, location so close to plenty local amenities, close to train station.

everything was perfect
Our room was far better than expected and was very spacious with more than adequate bathroom facilities, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. the owner was a pleasure to deal with, she contacted me the day before our stay to confirm everything which was a very nice surprise. we managed to check in early and throughout our stay the owners were always on hand to help where needed. this place is a little gem and we will certainly be staying there again (if there are any rooms as this place is so good)

A slightly small ensuite/toilet but not a problem once I got used to it.
A clean and tidy single room at the top of the hotel with a very comfortable bed, a tea/coffee making facility and a small TV. An excellent full English breakfast provided by Carol, a perfect hostess who was always on hand to help with any queries/directions.
