Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

And the breakfast could be better, bit tiring after week traveling in UK to eat the same English breakfast sausages and beans every morning. Not only your 4 star hotel but all of them could do better.

United KingdomRooms need a bit or a revamp. Paint on the curtains and a mark in the paint work on the bath. Also when I asked for the children's menu, the server didn't know where it was, so I had to order of the adults menu for the kids.
Great location, lobby area and restaurant was lovely. Loved the little essentials shop. Whole hotel smelled clean and fresh. Chocolate and kids activities in the room was such a great little touch.

United KingdomThere was one episode when I thought the service was poor. Tried to call the room service number stated on the leaflet that was on the room and reception multiple times to order food with no answer. Walked down to reception and receptionist was very intrigued why there was no answer but was able to place order. After waiting for almost 1h for the food had to walk down to reception again (no answer on the phone again) to check why the food had not arrived. Found out that it was taken to another room by mistake and after being sent back it was just sitting in the kitchen. The receptionist carried the food to our room and we were not charged. There was another incident when the fire alarm went on at 6am. People were coming out the rooms and alarm stopped and re-started again. Everyone was in and out of the room unsure what to do. When walking down the stairs a member of staff was climbing up the stairs with a fire man and said there was a leak and we could go back to our rooms. Apart of these 2 incidents everything else was good.
Very good location. We could walk to city centre. Bedroom was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and varied.

United KingdomThe room was freezing and the heating didn't work properly so had to get a heater and that was fine, but the bathroom was cold. Also it wasn't as clean as it should be and the pillows were very firm.
Location was really good, it was nice and quiet, the staff were nice, the breakfast was very good for what we paid.
