Can't find any faults with this Hotel. The staff were amazing and friendly and very helpful. Especially the 2 girls who were on Reception throughout my stay, Eliza & Jessica. You girls made my stay very enjoyable and made me feel most welcome. Thank You

It was unfortunate that we stayed whilst refurbishments were taking place but looking forward to returning when it's completed as we were hoping to see the reception area at the front of the hotel.

Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Bed was great as was the bathroom. Liked the additional information about the King and the decor in the room. Meal in the restaurant was delicious and well priced. Service was excellent.

On booking in we were charged over £300 more than the booking .com price and had to point out we had already paid. We had to pay for breakfast which I thought had been booked. The late book in 4pm and early check out at 11am means you don’t get much time in the room.

The bar area was not very cosy or relaxing. I believe there is another one but probably not open due to current renovations. The plates at breakfast were small. Not that I wanted more food it just made it difficult to cut food up without everything falling off the edge. Unfortunately the main lift broke down. We were on the seventh floor but did have use of the staff lift. Unless I missed it I couldn’t see any emergency exit instructions. These are normally on the back of the door.

This was a amazing hotel for the price. Me and my husband travelled by train and it was right outside the train station. It was clean and tidy. The staff are polite.

First room we were allocated was already occupied, although the person at check in realised that before we headed to the lift. When we got to the second room we were given it hadn’t been cleaned so we were allocated yet another room. Hotel undergoing renovation which we weren’t advised of in advance. Tv was old and small. Hardly any channels worked. Only one lift which was very slow. On our way out the lift bumped to a halt at the ground floor, jarring my back.

The bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Nice to have water and snacks in the room. Toiletries were good quality. Breakfast was lovely

It would of been nice to have known about the renovations and it was disappointing that there wasn't a proper bar area.

The meal we had on our first night was very average 😕 My daughter asked to see the manager about it but he/she wasn't in. However the lady we spoke to apologised and gave us a discount. That was nice of her but better quality food would have been better

Very hard to find hotel entrance. The entrance to The Queen Hotel was through the Kings Grill Restaurant. There were no signs indicating the name of the hotel.

Newly refurbished rooms, Convenient location next to railway station. Bath was appreciueted.

The only downfall was the carpet in the bedroom. This seemed to have a bump in the middle and could cause you to trip over. Not much of a good selection in the fridge/ teas/ coffee etc like other hotels. Very old fashioned T.V. A lot of light switches that didn’t seem to work.

The themes of the floors/ rooms. The bathroom. The bed. Big windows. Black out curtains were great. Nice and quiet.

The service at the reception was slow to check-in, not to fault the staff, they were nothing but helpful. It could do with an express check-in.

The room was a great size and it was very clean. The bed was also really comfortable!

Whilst I appreciate there is extensive renovation going on. Things could be made easier Like checking in it was manic Bar was very uninviting no music. It would be better to open kings bar Plus didn’t sleep a wink as generator outside room Humming noise all night

The decor was a bit tired, the bathroom fittings were loose and the tiles needed regrouting. The shelf above the bath wasn’t level and so became a lake holding all the water from the shower.. The tv bracket wouldn’t allow you turn it to face the bed.

Dogs allowed in the dining area. Fully understand its a pet friendly hotel. There should be a sectioned area and not allowed near the food counter.
