How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We had an issue with the water heater making a loud screeching/whistling noise when we arrived back into our room at 10pm on Saturday. We tried turning off etc and nothing worked. It’s advertised that holiday inn staff would be able to help with any issues and/or call someone to help. The first holiday inn staff member said they would call a manager and ask for them to call us back. Didn’t happen. We went down again and got told there is nothing that can be done and we just had to wait until 10am the following morning. This resulted in us getting about 2 hours sleep due to the noise. Thankfully our room got changed the following morning after the worst night. Having an emergency contact number would be helpful.
Location is good for travelling into London. Was quiet. Good food within holiday inn. Great facilities for the price and clean. Got everything you would need.

Not a complaint by any means but we felt breakfast options was a little limited if we just wanted a sausage sandwich or just toast and jam etc then yes it was there but was expensive. Would be better with individual options and lower prices.
Room had loads of space for us, really smart/modern. Perfect location

I really liked our stay at the Livin' Serviced Apartments. The suit was very comfortable and clean. All the facilities I needed were provided. The service was perfect. The breakfast was good. The location is very convenient for those who plan to book tickets to the Harry Potter Studio tour. There is a special bus which takes you exactly to the Warner Brothers Studio in a 5-minute walking distance from the hotel. I would strongly recommend visiting the Livin' Serviced Apartment.

Food in hotel for late checkin, very limited. No shops nearby to pick up food for self catering. Internet connectivity - limited - not clear as to what to use.

The apartment was spacious with everything you would need for a short stay. No need to bring anything for an overnight with tea and coffee facilities and shower products supplied. Good parking and friendly staff. Would definitely use again.

Wifi connection was poor and only allowed for 24 hours of use, even though we were staying for 2 days. Room got very hot also, some air con would be beneficial.
Spacious, kitchen area was great if you wanted to cook yourself, was clean.

Our duvet was a bit thick and heavy for us personally, WiFi wasn't the best (but we didn't use it much)

Just like many of the other reviews, it was really too warm. We slept with the 1 small window we had open and the fan that was provided did absolutely nothing. We all agreed it must be unbearable in the height of summer!
It was very convenient for Watford Junction station, offered reasonably priced parking for the night and a clean, comfortable room.

No air conditioning so was very stuffy on arrival and at times during the stay. They do provide a fan which was helpful.
Spacious and clean. Lots of amenities in the apartment. Service excellent, staff helpful and friendly. Right across the road from the train station and shuttle bus to Harry Potter.

Very low down and uncomfortable sofa, and not big enough for a family of 4 to sit together. Basic TV channels. Signs of wear and tear, TV screen cracked in one of the bedrooms, chair very scuffed and old looking in bedroom, kitchen tap wobbly, no mirrors in bedrooms.
Very spacious and clean, excellent location for Warner Brothers studio tour and London. Very pleasant staff. Well equipped kitchen. Parking available. Felt safe and secure. Access to Holiday Inn services but didn't use any during our stay.
