Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff members were outstanding, from keeping our room spotless to providing an additional blanket to offering directions and tips on train reservations. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Location superb. A block from Hyde Park and a bus stop and a couple blocks from Queensway and Lancaster Gate tube stops. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The breakfast was fabulous! Lots of breads, fresh fruit, meat, and cheeses along with tea and coffee. They also have a bar that is open later in the day.

I've stayed in the Lancaster regularly over the years. It compares very well with other hotels I've stayed at in the area. It has everything you would need and is nicely laid out on the ground floor. Great location too. It is consistently a good place to stay and the staff are very efficient and natural.

This hotel has changed ownership recently most of the regular dependant staff have left & not n been replaced the b as r is useless no draught beer in tap Just not good checkin was efficient u think that a cooked breakfast may not be on the agenda but not 100% sure on that when I checked in it was mentioned that a continental breakfast was available for approx £12 don’t bother going it’s gone down hill & expensive

United KingdomThe only thing that we did not like was the breakfast offered was a continental breakfast. It would have been nice to eat in the Hotel but unfortunately they do not offer evening meals.
The hotel was perfect for our family break, close to our planned walks. We used the bar and enjoyed a drink or two before venturing out for the nigh. Being close to Queensway it is close to the local restaurants and nightlife.

Great location, you're in the heart of the city in no time. Hyde park is right around the corner, so you get the best of both worlds. There's everything you need in the room and it's cleaned every day. Staff was nice, too.
