When we arrived it wasn't clean to a satisfactory standard, the decking was covered on in conwebs leaves that where not recent.Windows where dirty fridge had mold,shower blocked and flooded bathroom they had to fix.No fan in lodge in that heat no instructions to use anything Left messages to let owner know and still no reply

When first arriving the cabin smelt strange and as the stay progressed the smell of ‘sweaty football boots’ become stronger - no air freshener to mask smell. Entrance door very temperamental and hard to close.

Miscommunication, I was advised I could arrive early, but when I got there was told we had to wait until 4pm. Upon arriving the lodge wasn’t ready and had to wait for towels and beds to be made. It was not made clear about the additional charge for the dog either. I was contacted to say the dogs were not allowed but I had to pay a further £40. The website says pet friendly. A little disappointing

There was an issue with the sink as the plug in it seemed to be vacuumed so water didn’t drain away it took until the Saturday morning for someone to look at it but it couldn’t be fixed so we had dirty dish water in the sink all weekend and it was a hot weekend so not exactly the best and no feedback on what was going on if it was going to be fixed. The master bed could maybe do with being renewed as it was terrible. It was like it had been folded in half and very worn. Also after stripping bed as in request before leaving there was no mattress protector on it so wasn’t to impressed with the stains on it. There were a few other issues also which I’ve made the site aware of. I was more disappointed in the fact that no feedback was given as to the sink. We left the lodge a day earlier and made site aware of why we were leaving but have had no response at all from site. I would like this to be taken as constructive criticism as this was a lovely lodge just need the issues sorting out.

The lodge itself was beautiful we couldn’t fault it ( but we had a few issues within the 1st couple of hrs there) It was situated right next a small lake which was lovely especially 1st thing when you were sat with a coffee. The restaurant on site was spot on plenty of food on the plate and staff lovely and friendly.

the property was immaculately clean. facilities are of the best standard and plenty of cutlery, pans etc. for cooking. hot tub was lovely. tv in living room and both bedrooms. location great, not too far from york and the site was very quiet and maintained to a very good standard

Absolutely outstanding, would highly recommend Juniper Lodge it was quiet, immaculately clean and exactly as described. The staff at the restaurant were fantastic and went the extra mile when I said I had Coeliac Disease. The proximity to York was ideal. We wouldnt hesitate to return.

couldn’t get speakers in lodge to work as there was no manual to tell you how to connect to the Bluetooth device and wouldn’t pair also some of the blinds where broken and some cobwebs up high also it would be nice to put local takeaway menus in lodges for guests so they have a choice of places to eat from locally

the lodge was beautiful and spacious lovely and quite there where how ever a draft in the double bedroom due to a fault on the window that said don’t open on a white sticker that made it cold through the night

main mattress in double bed you roll to the middle, shower tray doesn’t drain well, microwave no instructions and hard to use.

The heating/radiators wouldn’t turn on and the number that was provided for help was turned off when we tried to call.

Great value for money, very clean and nicely decorated would definitely come again and recommend to friends!

With been a family for our children I would have preferred something on site for them or a park not far away x

It was still lovely located to other little villages only short drive for entertainment & restaurants it was a Very clean smart lodge & lots of amenities in the lodge for us to use there. Lovely & warm also.

I couldn’t find a single fault with the property

The property was outstanding, the views and finish of the property amazing I couldn’t fault it. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. The Park itself is absolutely beautiful I will definitely be booking with yourselves again.

The bed was really uncomfortable to the point where we have to sleep on top of the duvet. It felt like we were lying on top of the springs and could not get comfortable at all. Could feel like the bottom of the bed was right underneath us with no support. Also the toilet leaked slightly when flushed and we only had half a toilet roll and 0 kitchen roll. Had to go and buy our own.

Hot tub was lovely, clean and uptodate facilities.
