Upstairs appeared to be damp. I woke up every morning with my chest rattling. Musty smell in bathroom. My asthma is normally under control but even though we made sure the dehumidifier on the landing was emptied when needed, I still suffered with breathing. It affected how I slept and how far I could safely walk during our break. 😞

Location excellent, roomy gorgeous cottage, lovely secure garden, peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely area but if I was coming back here I would stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately, some things need highlighting - all of which are mentioned in description but might be important to some. You share this cottage with another one so gardens and driveway are shared. My parents were in the one next door but sharing with strangers could potentially be a problem. My car is large and so I could only fit on one side of the driveway - it would be very easy to scratch your car on one side of the drive or the other. Getting on the drive, you have to reverse on which is not easy. Getting off the drive is a nightmare as you are effectively driving out into a blind bend. Description mentions a mirror over the road but this does not work. It is extremely dangerous as there is a fair amount of traffic on the road. Which brings me to the last negative - sleeping in the front two bedrooms or the one in Ivy Cottage means you are next to the road which is very noisy because of the single glazing.

Cottage was nice and traditional. All facilities were as expected with nothing missing. Everything was clean. Simple 15 minute walk downhill to Lulworth Cove. Five minute drive to Durdle Door car park. Beds were comfortable and showers and bathrooms were great.
