Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe bathroom door lock was not working and was mentioned to the staff, but not sorted.. As we stayed for 2 days, the stocks in the fridge was not all refilled. The water heating flask was not smelling good and could not get a change as the property had no staff and had to wait till next day to check There is a main building and another building in the back. The common area are all in the main building. The building at the back is secluded and does not have a common dining and is very narrow. With the cold weather and rain, its hard for anyone to come to main building always to get some common space usage. It would be good to have a microwave at least in each room. Some more dishes in the dining room that can be used by the guests
The look and the feel of the house and its architecture. The surroundings of the property is very nice. The accessibility to the property is good. The mini fridge with items is good

United KingdomStaircase was quite narrow and steep . No staff on site although we did arrive after around 10pm
Booked last minute due to ferry cancellation. Stayed in an annex round back of main building. Took a minute to find it. Was very happy with the family room for myself and three teenage children. It was very spacious with a double and two single beds . Very well stocked mini fridge and plentiful supply of instant oats, tea, coffee and best of all Tunnocks Tea Cakes. Would definitely stay again.

BangladeshDoor lock was manual (key based) and couldn't be locked. I stayed in room-9. No staff were and every communication needed to be done over messaging. Response was delayed.
Wholesome & excellent breakfast. Quiet location.

United KingdomThere seemed to be an issue with the drainage. We were in the annex building and I don't think the plumbing could cope with the extra pressure. Nothing leaked or smelled bad thankfully but the shower water took an age to drain and the toilet system would occasionally back up. Again Nothing leaked unless the shower overflowed but the drainage could definitely do with upgrading.
Room was clean and spacious. The fridge was a good extra and the mini breakfast bar options were a nice touch also. Not the four seasons but incredibly good value for the money and would definitely recommend

ItalyThe ground floor had a very nice huge reception with lots of light and windows that could have been used as a breakfast room. The offering in the room for breakfast was really minimal.
Nice historical building, right next to the bridge. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom hot and clean. Good communications from the hosts, there was a self check-in which went really smooth.

United KingdomOnly issue was that the king bed had a seam down the middle and the two mattresses did come apart a little but I slept on one side. One of the bedside tables was slanting a little bit and might need repair. It is a little outside of Kyleakin so you do need to plan ahead r.e. dinner and food options
Excellent location for exploring Skye. I was on an organised 3 day tour and it was convenient for pick up and drop off. No hassle to get in - just used the code - quite like the hands-off approach to be honest after a long day. Room was light and big and airy with nice decor (albeit a little tired in places). Simple Breakfast items were provided (cereals, porridge, cereal bars etc). Bathroom was nice with a good powerful shower which was fab after a long day hiking around Skye. Everything was mostly clean Great to have TV with Netflix available!! Really enjoyed my stay and would come again.

United KingdomBeing in our seventies we are not connected to technology 24/7 and as we had to leave home early for the 8 hour drive to Skye we didn't get the email with arrival instructions. It would be better to send this information the day before departure instead of mid-morning on the day we left. We were in what is referred to as a garden room but the garden is very overgrow and neglected. The room itself was clean and comfy, however apart from a cupboard to hang clothes, there were no drawers or a desk to put things on. Only minor observations but would be very useful. It would also be useful to have a light next to the keypad to input the code for entry to the building. Breakfast cerials provided n the room were varied but (being very picky here) plain yogurt would have been better than strawberry, the smell of it makes me want to throw up! I would probably class this hotel as a posh backpackers. Tips for other travellers We drove all around the island but if time is limited we found the eastern side better. We travelled mid-March and it seems there's not much open till Easter. Not much choice for eating and most places are expensive. We would recommend the Indian restaurant A Taste of India, which is a short walk from the hotel. We found all the 'locals' very friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomAll was good in the property but I’d recommend that visitors call ahead to sort out places to eat in the area, if you’re going off season. It’ll all be up and running by Easter, I’m sure.
Very clean and warm, with a great shower. There isn’t much open in Kyleakin or Kyle of Lochalsh at the moment, so the microwave and cutlery etc in the lounge and complimentary breakfast cereal in the room was greatly appreciated. Good value for money.
