Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very nice. The room was spacious and well equiped. The hotel has its own pub where they serve breakfast but there is also another one just a ross the street. If you stay here in order to visit Edinburgh, there are a couple of buses that will take you to the city center in 40min

We stayed here during our stay in Edinburgh. We arrived by car and drove there for the day as it was cheaper to stay outisde the city. The hotel is nice and quiet with a view over wild rabbits. The room was large and comfortable. We had everything we needed.
