Room was clean, well maintained and had everything I needed. Location was excellent, close to everything. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

The standard rooms are very small, the back rooms are overlooked by the properties behind the hotel. The staff need a lesson in customer service. My children aged 24 and 25 both were made to feel very uncomfortable. On arrival after travelling from work arriving late, my son was met by the porter ‘Why are you here? When told he was staying there demanded his room number. I helped my daughter with her bags, to be asked ‘’ Do these belong to you?’ Referring to my children both of whom are in their 20’s So said they are not these and yes they are. How rude. The following evening my son came into the hotel to get something from his room and again was asked by the a lady on the reception ‘’why are you here’ ? Not can I help you which should have been asked if they were worried. That evening they came in and again the porter demanded to know what he was doing there. When they both came back to the hotel the shut the main door on them, so they used there door cards to open it. I know if the porter was worried a he should talk to them, but a simple can I help you is more polite. They felt the hotel was very ageist. Remember they are not teenagers both being in their 20’s.

It was clean , recently decorated, the breakfast staff were lovely. I cannot understand why they finish breakfast at 9am on the weekend.

Room was a bit stuffy and lacked ventilation.

Hotel is quiet old and needs an upgrade but was okay for an overnight stay. Staff are very friendly and do their best.

Room was ok, no ventilation in the bathroom, we were lucky to get a parking space outside the hotel (only 4 parking spaces!!) Otherwise we would have had to pay £15 per day.

Breakfast was good and very quick, room was ok, location was ok, staff were excellent.

Room size was slightly smaller than I'm used to but it is an older traditional seaside town hotel. We were on the top floor and for a summery day in a room with no Aircon meant the room was stuffy. Due to the room being so warm we needed to sleep with the windows open which for a seaside hotel with nearby nesting seagulls we were woken early from around 0630. Finally the room partition wall and a few squeaky floor boards meant surrounding rooms were very audible. The price we paid was about right (if a little on the pricey side) when factoring in these issues. A good option for many though as long as you are prepared on these points.

Friendly staff and a clean hotel. Comfortable bed and decent water pressure in the shower. Good location and easy access to a very reasonably priced public outdoor car park. Breakfast was good quality for the price paid.

Given that the hotel had a large number of elderly and disabled guests, the unreliability of the single lift, culminating in complete breakdown for at least 36 hours (continuing as we left) was dreadful. We were walking the South West Coast Path so didn't relish having to climb to the fourth floor either!

The greeting on entering the hotel could have been a bit happier &, a little more enthusiastic but on the stay was very pleasant

The first morning breakfast wasn't what I ordered & we had to wait for it as the waitress was having a bad morning? But it got dealt with & the breakfast on the 2nd morning was very good & the service was excellent

No negatives

Did not have breakfast. The bedroom had a duel aspect with a sea view which was a bonus. Bathroom was a nice size with a lovely hot shower. Nice to have windows that you could open and hear the sea. Lovely level walk into town.

Breakfast was minuscule much prefer a buffet breakfast, coffee was disgusting, After a drive I like to lay on the bed in a somewhat natural state, but this time the maid walked straight in no knocking or anything so she got a free shot! Then she only did it again half an hour later Why do they service rooms at three o clock in the afternoon

Bedroom was very good plenty of room, shower worked well, bed was comfortable, staff were very good on the whole, room was very clean.
