Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBedding was too hot to be comfortable and made you think of all the other people who spent a sweaty night in it. Shower room was tiny. We are not large people but I honestly don't know how some others manage. The allowance to two dreary Tetley teabags in the room is ridiculous. Are they worried someone will steal them?
Check in was quick and efficient. Also room was available early and beautifully clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United Kingdom£12 per night for parking is a bit extortionate considering with are living in a cost of living crisis. The bathroom 🚽 is very small, anyone over 5ft would have trouble sitting on the toilet. The university is at the back of the hotel, they might have been having a party / rave as we had loud music until the early hours of the morning.
Location was central to the shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bed linen.

United KingdomWhen I enquired by phone I asked how far was the cruise terminal and was told it was close by, with taxi fare about £10. We arrived in the afternoon and paid for the room and 4x days parking. Then phoned to book a taxi for next morning. Was told the taxi fayre was around £60. As the cruise terminal is in Southampton some 1/2 hour away. We asked the hotel to change our booking to the ibis in Southampton and refund the already oId parking. They refudes to do so, we just wanted to be closer to the departure of our cruise. The return fayre was over £120 . We had the option if free cancellation on the booking, just wanted to cancel and swap Ibis location to Southampton. Not happy at all with this and doubt we will choose to say with another Ibis again.
