Excellent location right in city centre and friendly staff, they let us checked in a bit earlier and accommodated us to a room of our choice. Excellent bars and pubs next door with old town a few minutes walk. The terrace and bar area is quite charming.

The staffs at the front desk obviously do not like their jobs. They all looked like they were upset when every guests walked in. When I asked what the easiest way to get to the airport, one of the staffs looked really annoyed by my question. They need to learn how to respond to hotel guests.

Location is great, about 7 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins to bus/tram to Airport. Also close to the Royal Mile, castle and many restaurants. There is also a small market like 2 doors down that you can get water, fresh fruits..etc. It's on the main street and busy, some noise at night but nothing too bothersome.

Room cleaning could have been much better. It was not getting cleaned till late afternoon. Twice we returned around 3pm and room was still not cleaned. Stocking of sugar sachet was not done at all.

Location was fantastic with most places in walking distance. Room was as expected in any Ibis property. Reception was helpful.

The heating system is awful! I cannot stand these thermostat controlled systems which either blow out warm air or freezing cold air. It kept stopping, then it would start again in the middle of the night. There were no instructions on how to use the thermostat, so it was more guess work. I asked the reception staff about it and they just said you press the on button! I don’t think they knew what to do really. There are hardly any plugs in the rooms. There were only 2, none of them are near the bedside, they are on the other side of the room, which was annoying. There were no drawers in the room, only open shelves to put clothing etc, which isn’t great. No instructions on how to use the TV either. It was a complicated system, but managed it in the end. It just would have been helpful if there were instructions in the room for things.

The location is fantastic, just around the corner to the Royal Mile. The room was a good size, lovely comfortable bed, nice shower room. Very clean. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and lovely food. The restaurant was really good too. We ate there every evening and the food and service was superb.

The bed was a bit of an issue. It was merely a futon with a mattress pad. It was very uncomfortable. I wasn't a fan of the bathroom pod, but it was completely functional. My main gripe was the uncomfortable bed.

The room was large and had plenty of room for everything. The view was excellent with a large window. The staff were friendly, and the accommodations were great & quiet. It was a great value in a fantastic location. Would stay here again.

The location was perfect, just steps from the bottom of the Royal Mile. The room was comfortable. The staff was fantastic! I will definitely stay there again on a future visit.
