How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The size of the room was questionable since I booked a deluxe room, you could barely move in there. As mentioned we came with luggage, and storing it in the room was quite tricky. There was also not that well sound-isolation, as we heard the phone alarms from the other rooms next to us and walking over the floors all after midnight. 😅
I enjoyed the stay and room was alright for sleeping and rest. Staff was very friendly and helpful, location was perfect considering we had quite a lot of luggage with us. Clean and fancy! 😊

I apparently booked a standard room which was in the basement. Our cabin on our cruise was larger than the the room

Due to we are travelling with the medium-large luggages, the space of the normal room may not enough for both of us to leave luggage open.
The location is really good. close to the Paddington station which is perfect for the transportation to everywhere inc Heathrow airport. We also can leave our luagges before and after check in/out time. The staffs are helpful.

Breakfast was not great. The food was limited in supply, we had to wait quite a while for a table and the tea being given out was terrible.

Room was small (as indicated) but well appointed
Well located property, close to tube station and easy walking distance to many local sites. Reception and restaurant staff were consistent welcoming and friendly. Room was compact but comfortable and well appointed for a small space.

My store suite was in the basement and I constantly heard people walking heavily or running above me.
I enjoyed the location and the calibre of the property!

The breakfast was nice, but short variety. As I stayed 6 days, could be more explored
I loved the location and the intimate atmosphere of the hotel. Location was perfect - still close to everything, tube station just around the corner and away from the busy area.

Bed (double) too small to accommodate two adults comfortably. Heavy, black-out curtains efficient, but very dusty; doubt they've been cleaned since installation. Bath towel shredded in my hands while drying
Covenient Paddington location..lots of Italian restaurants and coffee shops right around the corner on Craven St., along with tube & rail stations. Beautiful, quiet Georgian neighborhood. Apples in lobby a nice touch, and very good!

Is expensive, have no illusions, but a big jump in quality over the next cheapest options.
Came down to London for a wedding, needed to check in half an hour early which they accommodated for. Very nice building and rooms fully stocked tea and coffee facilities and a very reasonable on site breakfast available. Perfect for one night in the city. Think it would also be nice for longer stays too.

Breakfast seemed a bit rushed and coffee was readily available and food could have been refreshed a bit more often.
I liked the location. Excellent. Near the tube and train stations and bus stops. The room was small but quite nice. The wait staff in the restaurant were excellent and dinner were reasonable.

1st night we had a small basement room. Sadly window overlooked shabby small yard and door banged a lot as laundry came in early in the morning. We mentioned this to reception and were moved to a much better room

Great Location close to Hyde Park. Very quiet and a good breakfast. Staff was helpful. The bar was a bit small and could be cozier. We didn’t use the spa but it was available.i would stay there again.
