Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI think if the property had its own outdoor space that would be nice as to maybe BBQ or just sit and look out at the wonderful views.
I loved the location of the property very peaceful and beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales. A lovely relaxing place to unwind. It is a good location to explore neighbouring beautiful villages and plenty of nice pubs and restaurants.

This property was in a beautiful position litruly on top of lLkley Moor, views from outside fantastic. Property very clean and we'll presented but not very big, but definitely cosy.

United KingdomIt was icy so we couldn't take the car up the hill and had to walk most of the way. Could use little sachets of sauce packets and hot chocolate as you Don't wanna buy a big one for a short stay. Other than that it was overall good and we enjoyed it 👍🏻
The bed was very comfortable. It was clean with lovely views. The information link sent to me with places nearby was very helpful.

The Hayloft was delightful and the owners helpful and friendly. The home was well appointed and scrupulously clean. Salt and pepper would be a good addition to the cupboard, it's not something you think to bring!

United KingdomJust one very minor thing - the bedroom has a vaulted ceiling so need to stoop when walking around.
Excellent remote location with splendid views. Great area for walking - the footpath onto the moor is right outside the front door. Cottage itself is very warm and well kitted out and the hosts are very friendly (The Hayloft is self contained but they live in the main part of the house downstairs). Considering the remote location, the wifi is very good. Good pubs in the area - The Hermit Inn is walking distance and highly recommended, also the Flying Duck in Ilkley which has its own microbrewery on site.

United KingdomHost and Stay are dishonest. They took the full payment for the booking and then introduced additional fees that were not advertised. There were extensive ongoing building works next door to property which we didn't know about in advance. It wasn't too bad, but did disturb the sense of peace.
Lovely location. Great views. Comfortable beds. Owners seemed kind (see separate comments on the Host & Stay company).

United KingdomI would never recommend anyone using Host and Stay. They were not well informed on the property or its location and the amount of email communication was not helpful.
The place is difficult to get to, but it was warm and comfortable.
