The hotel doesn't have a lift and as we were upstairs we had stairs to climb with cases etc. My friend and I are both in our mid 70's and it was one thing I never thought about when booking. Also as it was so warm we left our window open overnight and I live in the country so not used to the sound of traffic at night. My friend, however, had no problem in getting to sleep. But these points are nothing against the hotel.

Lovely clean and comfortable room, with very comfortable bed. Nice choice for breakfast, all tasty! Good location for what we were going to be doing. Good local taxi service (booked by the hotel) with very pleasant drivers. All members of staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful - they sorted out any queries very well.

The safe not working so had to change room. Kiran was very helpful trying to get it working. He arranged for my room change and helped me move my luggage. The safe worked in the new room, but I could not get the shower to run hot.

I have mobility issues and struggle with stairs. There was no kettle in the room, this was resolved. The bathroom was really unclean I took photos. I used the ladies in the lobby area and there was no toilet paper. I wanted to have a bath but it was unclean and was told there was no other rooms available.

The rooms are in need of a refresh - our room smelt musty and we can still smell it on our clothes. We booked a twin room which was described as having a large double bed on the booking info. We were told we had two single beds. When querying this and showing the booking info about the large double bed, we were simply told we booked a twin room and that’s what we have been given. No inclination to help or remedy this. Breakfast constantly ran out of cooked breakfast items. Paying £5 extra for food to be delivered as room service seems unnecessary and not my experience of other hotels.

Dreadful service in the restaurant as a member of staff did not turn up on the Saturday night. The food when it finally arrived was not properly heated through and the choice was limited even if it was on the menu. The bed was badly dipped in the middle and we had 2/2 sleepless nights.

Convenient parking. Easy and friendly check in. Suitable accommodation for our requirements. Good heating in the bedroom which was simple to adjust.

The noise from other rooms. Doors keep banging up till after 3am in the morning

The noise from froom next door kept me up most of the night. I was so tired in the morning when I was going to be driving another 2 hours. Not very fair when I paid to have a rest.

I feel the charge for bringing my dinner to the room for the price of £5.00 is a bit high considering I was in room 138. Maybe a 20 second walk? I do have osteoarthritis in my hands so carrying the tray was awkward for me. I was on a training course so worked throughout the evening so needed to be in my room to work. My card key I had to take back to reception 3 times to have it reset which was just annoying after completing a long day training.

The room was nice but I had booked a queen bed deluxe and it seemed as though I got a double bed room? Breakfast was lovely. Pillows were a bit hard but overall the bed was comfy. Next time I will bring my own pillow. Maybe a cushion.
