Rooms are on the small side but really well appointed and had everything we needed. We slept very well, helped by our room being very quiet. When we had a problem with the shower door it was fixed immediately. Overall all the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The fire alarms went off twice early in the morning and woke my 8 year old daughter up after a late night at a concert, we weren’t offered any compensation or apology. When this has happened in the past we were given some money off of the room so a little disappointing as the room was expensive and we ended up getting up far earlier than planned. She had to sleep in the car

The man who checked us in wasn't pleasant or helpful. He didn't crack a smile once. Not welcoming. The breakfast was simple and not particularly good. It was also quite unpleasant to have the 'slop bin' actually in the restaurant area. The waiting staff were scraping things off plates, etc, close to the tables where people were eating. Invariably, food waste ended up on the floor around this area. The restaurant staff, however, were very pleasant and helpful.

Great location, good facilities, clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean and well proportioned. Plenty of lighting, plug sockets and toiletries. The beds are comfortable and the cleaning staff were thorough.

The room had two twin beds, even though I said a double room for a single occupancy, the beds were comfortable, but they moved easily.

Room was very comfortable even though small, but that promoted going out and meeting people. Location was exceptional as we visited Birmingham to participate in an event that took place in Centenary Square. Breakfast was great, good choice between typical British and continental breakfast.

One of party was a vegetarian we arrived at breakfast at 1030 and breakfast was served until 11am. There food items at breakfast that were not available at 1030 x 2 items despite there being half an hour until breakfast ended staff just indicated the items were not available .

Breakfast was very basic and most items were not replenished when they had run out like juice, pancakes, hot meal items. We didn’t have much choice for what we could eat as we are vegetarian.

We found the room to be lacking any toiletries to which we were told would be in the room upon arrival. We stayed for 3 nights, to which we expected the sheets to be at least changed on the 2nd and 3rd night to which they had not been. The air-con did not work at all throughout our stay and it was extremely hot in the room which made it incredibly difficult to sleep (currently heavily pregnant) I did request a fan, but sadly didn’t do much to cool the room down at all. When we vacated the room for the day during our stay, we also noticed when we arrived back the room hadn’t been properly cleaned, which made it feel like all the money we had spent to stay there (almost £300) wasn’t worth it. Downside was location especially if you wanted to walk into the city, sadly the dual carriageway is bang in the middle of the hotel and city centre, so unfortunately we had to request an Uber to get us to and from which was a little pricy. (First time visiting without a car) we did ask about alternative walking (safe) routes to the centre from the hotel but whom we spoke to wasn’t sure there was any safe routes without using the dual carriageway! We weren’t aware of food menus during our stay at all which was disappointing. Nor did we have any menus in the room if we wanted to have a sit-down meal.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Immediately greeted with a lovely member of staff who allowed us to check-in early which was brilliant, plus have us an option or room type upon arrival. Breakfast was included which was great! And within a good time slot also! Highly recommend getting up early to avoid an extremely busy breakfast area and guarantee a seat/table. Plenty of variety of breakfast choices, and drinks which went down really well with me and my partner! Front reception area was very clean and plenty of seating to relax by the bar and look out to the city. Lifts x3 to help you navigate to either reception on 1st floor or up to your floors (up to 17) Definitely Greta views overlooking the city skyline.

Price during fire expo week was too high for the type and class of hotel. Breakfast served only scrambled eggs. I prefer fried or boiled.
