Fantastic place where you can enjoy the peaceful and relaxing time. Being wake up by chirping birds and near stream sounds - priceless. Excellent location, super clean and comfortable.

We have just returned from our 4th stay in as many months, we love staying in no2 Herdwick! You’ll find everything you need, it’s the perfect escape. Great equipped kitchen with hob, fridge toaster kettle and plenty of crockery and utensils etc. Uber cute log burning stove that warms the hut up quickly and efficiently. Great shower, and comfy beds. Good size outdoor area with fire pit and bbq (have yet to use these as only visited in winter) a lovely stream runs through the bottom of the site too. Easy walk to the local pub which serves great food and drink. The hut is very clean and great communication from the owner. We look forward to visiting in Spring and Summer, go….you won’t be disappointed.

We had a fantastic night in a Herdwick hut. The beds were very comfy, and the little stove made it extremely warm and cosy, though it was rainy and chilly outside. There was everything we needed in the hut in terms of utensils, pots, etc. My two children loved it as well.

Only one thing, unfortunately the catch on the bathroom door didn’t work so the door would remain open blocking the seating area. Easily fix by using a fire log to hold it in place.

Love the location. Our hut was located next to a babbling stream which runs through the property. The hut was clean and spacious with everything we needed. Spent a perfect evening building a fire overlooking the stream.

Our dislikes are small, we never spoke to the owners (all interaction was via email) and the local pub wasn't as friendly as we expected but the beer there was good.

The hut was clean and cosy especially once the log burner was lit. Access to the moor was a 2 minute walk along the bridle path.

Absolutely amazing stay. The hosts lit the log burner for us so it was very cosy when we arrived and also left us logs and firelighters. The room was cosy and the beds super comfortable.

A little cramped for 4 and the log burner didn’t give much warmth to the cabin despite continuous use.

Perfect location for our planned visit to the devin railway. Spotlessly clean.

The bathroom door didn't shut, no lock or latch, we had to fashion a way to tie it closed with a rope. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable, thicker mattress would be nice, but if you love a really solid/firm bed it would suit you.

Really cute sheppards hut, great location, we were alone on the campsite (as far as we could tell) for the first couple of nights but when there were other guests they weren't really noticeable. Felt like a nice bit of seclusion. Nearly everything you'd need for a glamping experience.

Could do with 2 tea towels in the hut due to them staying quite wet after drying up dishes. Maybe a couple of games/pack of cards for rainy days.

Great little hut with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Shower was great. The bed was very comfortable. We had horrendous weather so it was good that the hut had everything we needed.

We could only find a small bathroom dustbin although there seemed adequate space for a dustbin under the sink in the living area.

It was very clean and beautifully presented. We didn't meet any staff thus the neutral rating.

The night we arrived we were freezing and we had no idea where the logs were kept. Communication with the hosts was not great. I emailed before our trip and never had a response.
