We loved our stay here! Angela was an incredible host, and we loved hearing her story and learning more about the B&B. Since there weren't other guests when we stayed, she was kind enough to move us to a larger room. Breakfast was amazing and our room was comfortable and clean.

We found nothing not to like

Angela was really lovely, the room was warm and comfortable. The view was beautiful with sightings of a lovely fox and a rabbit family. Breakfast was excellent, and a cheeky peacock was peeking in the window. We had a lovely stay and hopefully will return. Thank you

Angela was a very hospitalbe, welcoming and helpful host. She gave us great tips for places to visit and things to do. Her cooked breakfast was delicious, and there was additionally a great variation of cereals, yoghurts, and fruit. The room and bathroom were cosy and clean, and we instantly felt at home. Heathergate Cottage was easily reachable by car and is located in a calm, relaxing region close to the beautiful Dartmoor.

Nothing really to dislike but remember this is a working farm before booking, it is not in town

This is part of a working farmhouse converted into part BnB. The room was comfortable. Bed was soft. Cooked breakfast and cereal, fairly standard fayre. The proprietor was friendly and welcoming. Access is via a C class road and farm track but is concreted outside the house area so the car didn't get stuck. Views from the farmhouse are exceptional with little sign of other buildings distracting the countryside.

Although the village is nearby (400 m?) you need to walk around (1500 m?). I didn’t mind, as you will hardly have trafic on the road but just keep it in mind. Shower needs a minute to heat up but it will be nice and warm!

Angela is super friendly, and if she’s with the animals at the farm will make sure you still can get in and out easily. The family room as well as the living/breakfast room are spacious and the view from in particular the bathroom over the fields is very nice.

Drive is long and a bit rough so this isn't for you if you're precious about your very posh limited suspension travel car! A normal car like our mini is fine though.

Breakfast was superb, our bed was superbly comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. For great food at a very reasonable price go the Fox and Hounds rather than the 2 closer pubs. Landlady is super friendly and helpful.

    Could not find any faults

*1st visit* The host was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. She never pressured or rushed us. She was willing have a little chat and was like we have known her for years. The location was peaceful and away from the main road. The property was clean and homely with personal touches. Bedroom was clean, with lovely views, well equipped with drinking glasses and also had personal touches, bed was extremely comfy, en-suite was big and clean with a bath and shower. For breakfast in the morning there was lots of choice: cereal, fruit, yogurt, full English with a choice of eggs… and was delicious. The thing that swung my choice between this property and another was that this property have peahens (peacocks) which is something unusual and quirky but being an animal lover this won it for me :) we will be recommending and we will be coming back again. Thank you for your hospitality.
