We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

GermanyThe hotel has obviously seen much better days. The rooms are set above a very low quality pub. To gain entrance to the rooms you had to pass through the pub and pass the smelly toilets. The people who visit the pub made me anxious.

United KingdomThe room needs a good clean- thick layers of dust that has built up over years especially in the bathroom and lots of concerning dirty marks around the toilet area. There was a fridge, microwave and kettle which was good. The mattress also wasn't good. You have to enter through the bar which took a while as they were serving drinks.

United KingdomOld hotel from the previous era - kind of like Grand Budapest Hotel😅 it’s easy to imagine how the mining community would gather there for a few pints after work in the past. Apprehensive of what I was going to get for the price I paid - I was nicely surprised by a spacious double bedroom, with en-suite bathroom. I also had my own fridge and a microwave! As much traveling as I’ve done - either here or abroad, I cannot recall a hotel room with a fridge and a microwave. In the fridge, there was milk, two bottles of water and butter! I soon nipped out to the grocery store opposite to fill it up with some breakfast stuff. There were plates, cutlery etc available too. The room was clean and the lady that showed me around was nice. The building is slightly dated and tatty and the area kind of dead with loads of empty shops - covid or closed mines? However, I am rating his stay full stars, and whoever rated it less than that, should next time book an accommodation for a minimum of quadruple the price if they want the same that Hardwick Hotel offers you.
