Absolutely nothing

Me and my mum stayed over night for the pride event going on and we would honestly stay again!! The facilities were great, very clean! Staff were friendly and welcoming and even helped us find where to go for pride and gave us suggestions of good night life in the area. Slept like a log! Breakfast was great!! Everything was so nice and there was something for everyone!

The hotel which was well worth the price. It was exceptionally clean and the staff were very nice and polite. The breakfast was really good and had lots of variety to choose from and was always hot regardless of the time you went.

No car parking.

Good location close to The Shambles and the main visitor areas of York, no car parking so make sure you book into one of the York car parks ahead of time. The hotel offers great value for a £130 stay, breakfast is included, the bed was really comfy, in fact I slept really well. Staff friendly. It has everything you need for a flying visit.

The table clearing at breakfast was poor, when we arrived at 8am there were often no cleared tables. Also, had a personal hair turban go missing from my room and was told by the manager ‘we looked for it and didn’t find anything, we now consider the issue closed’. Not a great customer service response

The location is fantastic to all the tourist sites in York within easy walking distance.

Highly recommend this hotel. Location was great, really clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and ample. Reception staff were very helpful especially Steven who couldn't do enough for us. A real asset to the hotel. We'll be back.

The restaurant was very busy at breakfast. Some of the drinks machines were not in operation making it busier. Parking is nearby but requires booking ahead to be sure of getting a parking space.

Brilliant location. Very helpful staff and nice large bar area to congregate and meet family. We liked the breakfast, though it was busy at peak times. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Bathrooms had products provided.

Minor thing was I think an extra grip rail on wall as you step down from the raised shower base. Standard vacuum wouldn’t make it under the bed but as we looked for our dropped tv controllef noted it was dusty there . Lift glitches a bit using the card floor activation . Catch taxi from train it’s money well spent and a long walk with luggage ( £6/7 pound trip)

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the Shambles, 2minutes to the red lion pub. Easy access to walmgate and fossgate. Good sized room, decent shower. Air con, fridge and an iron.Buffet breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again.

bacon and sausages served for breakfast must have been kept on reheat for too long and were a bit on the dry side - but they were still tasty -food was good. I also wish there was a choice of fried egg not only scrambled. Majority of staff at the reception seemed as avoiding eye contact with guests? Didn't give out very welcoming vibe.

general cleanliness, large rooms well equipped with iron, ironing board and hairdryers and with variety of available food for breakfast, good location, nice touch for the kids with waffle maker!
