How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bed is too firm for me so I don’t sleep that well. The divan a bit noisy when I was turning my body. I prefer a medium or softer firmness of the bed. I hope that you will looking into the bed issue. I know some people prefer firm bed. Please look into the noisy divan in room 525. It is just a minor issue but the room is very nice.
The size of the room is big, very clean and bright. Location is great as easy to get to the shops, tube station and restaurants. Very nice breakfast, fresh fruits, yoghurt but the coffee a bit too mild. I [refer stronger coffee.

The fire alarms going off three or four times and running a marathon didn’t help at all😡

The room itself was pretty good, but some little things were a bit weird, like no electric sockets and toilet brush in the bathroom, rather uncomfortable. I also didn't enjoy much the breakfast, scrumbbled eggs seemed made of some egg polver and coffe was not good.
The staff was very friendly, the hotel is in a very good location, close to the tube, the view was amazing.

Lunch and dinner were just ok. My biggest concern was the shower. It had a very slippery floor making it very dangerous. For my safety I put a large bath towel on the shower floor. Because of this I might look for a safer place to stay.
I liked most everything. The morning breakfast was very good.

The hotel has a faulty fire alarm system and twice the fire alarm got on.The first time hotel management said its a drill, but the second time whole hotel was vacated in the morning.
The hotel location is excellent, very close to Waterloo station. The room was clean and the housekeeping team was cleaning it every day. The room size is small but it's their standard format so can't help. Breakfast was standard European style. Good hotel to stay.

late check-in but could not enter hote as door was locked. Though a glass door no body could see me as no one was in the reception. Went around the circumference of the hotel and luckily saw an hotel guest reading a book. kept tapping the glass dorr to draw his attention to open the door but he went inside the reception office as no one was standing at the reception to bring a person. Finally a hotel person arrived after 30 min of standing in the cold breeze of 5 deg Celsius. Secondly, we were all the delayed passengers arriving into London with lost baggages and we did not carry any baggage with us other than a laptop bag. So when asked if the hotel had a night dress or atleast a bathrobe to sleep-in for the night, they did not have anything other than a towel.
Location was good and near to the tube station. Convenience stores also nearby.

The prices at the small shop were a joke. Extortionate.
Breakfast offerings were good. My son enjoyed the waffle maker. A voucher for reusing towels was good.

They had a little self-checkout convenience store area for useful items/food but prices were extortionate - about £4 for 50ml toothpaste. Breakfast was also a little disappointing for the price of the stay. There was a good varied choice but the cooked food was a bit cold and nothing seemed particularly fresh.
Convenient location close to Waterloo station. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room itself was very comfortable, quiet and clean, and nicely decorated with good amenities.
