Wasn't aware that the hotel was being refurbished - although the room was in a separate location to main the building - there was no other facilities - nearest access to food shops was a £12 Uber to Bishop's Stortford - would have helped to have known before we booked

The only staff member we came into contact with was rude. The room can only be described as "tired" - curtains aren't hung correctly on the hooks, ironing board was broken, shower door didn't close properly. but was clean

No breakfast. No restaurant or bar but not a problem we knew this prior to booking. Great base for airport departure. Rooms lovely staff friendly. Would stay again .

Double glazed windows would help reduce the noise from the planes

The young lady on reception when we arrived was really helpful and helped us book taxis. The room was nice and clean and quiet (with the exception of the aeroplanes which you would expect). The parking was £5 a day while we were on holiday which was much cheaper than any airport parking.

They are honest about this - it is directly on the flight path out of Stansted so there is noise until about 2230 but I slept fine from 2100.

The property was close to Stansted Airport and very competitive in price - I.e £107 for 1 night + 4 days parking + taxi to Stansted. Parking alone at Stansted would have been £85. The room was comfortable and clean.

A loo that didn't work properly Information for guests not available in room

Superb staff, exceedingly welcoming. We had an issue with the loo, the water took about 5 hours to stop running after a flush, then you could flush again. Lack of information for residents in rooms. Comfortable and clean, nice toiletries,

Room was very loud, between the flight path and the noise from reception it was tough to sleep. Recommend bringing ear plugs.

We were going to Birmingham and then back to stay near the airport. And when we mentioned this sadly the receptionist made a slightly racist comment which was a shame.

The shower ran out of hot water half way through my shower with my mum still left to shower. I went to reception and they did give a key to a different room, however it was too late for me. My mum benefitted though. The problem was resolved.

The property is beautiful! The moment we walked through the door we were greeted by a fantastic multi-lingual member of staff. He was awesome and made the check in fantastic. The building is beautiful and in such easy location of the airport!

No proper breakfast, bar or dinner available. It is very near Stanstead airport - depending on if this is a bonues or not is dependent on your preferences. My Partner loved to see the planes as she used to be an air hostess....

As it’s a character building there’s the original leaded windows which means that the planes sound like they will land in your bedroom!! Which is such as shame as i wouldn’t stay again as you get no sleep. Such a shame as it’s a lovely place.
