Very restricted on when we could have breakfast and dinner - we couldn't book at the times we wanted yet there appeared to be plenty space. Warning that Rafters was shut would have been helpful.

The property is at a beautiful location but the views from the room we got was absolutely non-existing considering the price paid and the hotel is very old.

if you step out the surrounding is very beautiful especially the waterfall, loved the food too.

The food and drink was a touch expensive but it was very tasty

The location is nothing short of stunning, with beautiful grounds and the surrounding area being nothing but loch and forest it’s a great place to unwind.

Pool water temperature was a bit lower than we would have liked. Restaurant prices somewhat steep. We also had to draw the curtains during daylight hours (we were on the ground floor and people could see us - an inside curtain would have helped). But these are minor, minor blemishes. Overall it was SUPERB!! Highly recommended!!

Stunning views, tranquility, comfort, helpful, polite, courteous staff. Very understanding and accommodating to families with toddlers (we have two boys aged 11 and 2). Room was wonderful and very spacious for the 4 of us. Would love to return as we visit the area every year.

meals - the catering side of this hotel let the entire hotel down. they have two restaurants - one more affordable but is burgers and pizza - no GF options for those, only choice for GF was nachos or Curry. the other restaurant was quite pricy with average meals around £25 steaks were almost £40.00 Drinks - wine was about £11 pounds for a 175ml glass Prosecco was £9.00 - we were a party of 6 so getting tables for us was an issue also breakfast was diabolical - we had included breakfast on booking but they ran out of so much food, no GF breads or pastry's, fruit ran out and so did the pastrys and because we were a group of 6 we had to get the end of breakfast slot. they didnt even want us to sit in our individual rooms or have a 2 and 4 etc,

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location,

Food in the restaurant is a bit pricey but the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Sauna and hot tub were not very hot. Tennis courts need some TLC.

The location is just breath-taking with stunning views over Loch Ard. We went kayaking at the Loch Ard Adventure Centre at the entrance to the hotel and in two nights used the pool, table tennis, football pitch, went for a run and went to Go Ape along the road for zip wire and walk to the waterfall. We also sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view from the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly.

Approach road dreadful in places with raised tarmac patches rattling the car suspension. Short staffed at breakfast caused queues. Ran out of bread, orange juice & HP sauce!

Great hotel in a beautiful location, good breakfast/food, huge room, efficient housekeeping staff. Spa was superb. Good car park, & BnB cost.

Beautiful and quite location but the facilities are 'tired'

The spa area was chaotic and old. as much as I love kids, I wish the pool was in a separeted area from spa facilities (a really small jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) as it was difficult to find it relaxing. The changing room also need to be restored especially showers. We had dinner at the 'rafters' which was the more 'casual' restaurant. It was ok, nothing special but not bad. But I wish they have vegan options in the menu, When I asked to have the bean burger just without cheese they were confused. The location is nice but if you are on a road trip might be too far away from main roads or Loch Lomond, which is not well connected

Staff was really amazing and certaintly the thing we will remember the most from our trip. Breakfast was quite good too, the room was massive. The garden of the hotel is so beautiful

There was most days a wait to be served breakfast and to be served at the bar - this was because there were very few staff on and they had to man restaurant and bar. Drinks and the bar are not cheap.

Comfortable, friendly staff and beautiful location- even though a bit out of the way - you need transport to access places.

It would be nice if the bar menu was available in the restaurant. I am sure guests would happily pay a few pounds extra to sit in a nicer room.

We loved the size of the room and the wonderful view over the loch. The grounds are amazing and the restaurant seves excellent food. Just straight forward food, nothing too fancy and good portions.

The hotel is just so tired and needs a renovation. Lots of little things like stained and worn fabric on armchairs, marks on the wall and shabby exteriors just took away from what could be a great hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and our room had incredible views over the loch. The grounds were nice and well maintained. Staff were friendly, our room was clean and the hotel was dog friendly.

I had booked a std double well in advance of our trip, my single, male friend booked last minute and for the same price got a double deluxe with complimentary bottled water, bath and robe! We did have a chuckle as my husband and I were in a garret room with shower only and no water (we did bring a jug of water to the room when retiring for the night). The only thing i would improve would be to have a roaring fire in the empty fireplace and real bookcases on either side in the lounge...but this wasn't a deal breaker. Breakfast is quite expensive at £26pp

Breathtaking surroundings and beautiful grounds. We had a little standard attic room, but it was very quaint, clean, and perfectly fitted out...Elemis products. The spa was a lovely bonus, and the massaging whirlpool was worth the detour we took to book this hotel. The drive from Aberfoyle to the hotel was stunning. Highly recommended for ambience and location.

All little more attention to detail by cleaners and maintenance teams. Suite and Leisure had multiple spotlights not working, which also hid the cobwebs and dust. Plus pool side shower not working.

Staff were brilliant and really helpful. The location is breathtaking. Leisure suite was a welcome break.

We decided to pay for a suite when booking to have a little bit of luxury and naturally we assumed the best rooms would have the best views. When we got into the room, we were shocked to find that our view was onto the carpark! Fortunately, the reception staff were on hand the help us out and relocated us. Hotel also had a dampness smell in the corridors, which was a little off-putting.

The room we eventually got was beautiful with everything we needed and a beautiful view. Staff were very helpful, especially Liz the receptionist.

Restaurant staff were slow at breakfast. Poor communication. We were not welcomed in the Rafters bar as we had a dog, despite making a booking and advising we had a dog. The waiter was rude, disrespectful and unwelcoming. This resulted us in going out for dinner.

The location was great. Beautiful view from the room. Comfortable bedding.
