There was nothing to criticise.

We chose the executive room.It had lot's of space. We had the choice of separate bath and shower. I ordered a small breakfast, which had plenty on. It had a good choice and was lovely. All round a lovely place to stay .

Very clean, comfortable room. Excellent location with the beach within only a few minutes walk, and near restaurants and the Marine public house. Wonderful breakfast served with enthusiasm and conversation by owners Janet and Peter, who happily provide all assistance and local advice that anyone could need.

Very comfortable and well situated accommodation. Friendly and helpful owners. Excellent breakfast including good coffee. Very comfortable and clean beds and bedroom. Free on street parking right next to the guest house. Close proximity to local amenities, the beach, parks, fairground, swimming pool, pubs and a variety of good restaurants.

Nsuite very small with no room for handbasin which was in the bedroom itself, but this couldn't be helped and was manageable

Owners were friendly, local, knew the area well. Room was a good size with en-suite and television. Kettle with milk and sachets. Plenty of restaurants and a friendly pub over the road. On the whole most enjoyable stay and will certainly use again.

I liked everything.

I was working in the area and needed an overnight stay and Forest Guest House perfectly met my needs. I had as small but very clean and comfortable room and there were lots of little touches like a fridge with milk in it. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. I have already booked to stay again.

Continental breakfast was served as they were having a kitchen refit. This wasn't a problem and there was still plenty of choice. The owners were very friendly and the room had everything I needed. Also the inclusion of fresh milk with Tea and Coffee and a bottle of water in the room was a pleasant surprise offering but most welcome. It certainly raises the standard for others to follow. The B & B is very close to the town center so plenty of options for restaurants.

A very comfortable room with wide bed and firm mattress, 2 comfy chairs, big bathroom with walk in shower and bath. Choice of teas in the room and small fridge with fresh milk. Although the B&B is on a busy street with shops and restaurants the area was quiet at night. Short walking distance from the park, the beach and the seaside pleasure Beach. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking on the street. Highly recommended!

The hotel is 2 mins away from city centre, rooms are excellent, bedding clean white egyptian bedsheets and flat screen TV. Food-fresh breakfast with different options to choose, a bottle of milk and water in a small fridge in the room, different tea bags, pack of chocolate and biscuits in the room. Customer service very friendly and easy to approach.

Stayed in room 1 .it’s a big comfortable room with a massive bathroom . A well stocked refreshment tray and there is a great addition of a fridge with bottled water and fresh milk . I wish every guest house and b and b provided a fridge . Breakfast was great with plenty of variety . The fresh fruit selection was very good .Very friendly hosts who gave us loads of information about the local area and public transport. In our room was a gift of chocolates ,they are heavenly and they led to me spending far too much at the local chocolatier who makes them . Janet and Peter even picked up my order from him as we were out all day . The guest house is close to two lovely parks and the beach making our trip very pleasurable . I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone considering a visit to South Shields.
