Nothing we didn’t like. Worth noting that it is up quite a hill, if you’re walking. Fine for us but some may struggle. I got frustrated with the sheet not fitting the bed properly and having to refit every morning. But that’s not a reason not to return!

Lovely spacious bungalow. Close to town centre. Driveway for car. Everything we needed. Friendly owners. Good communication. Nice fluffy decent sized towels. Nice garden if visiting in summer. Quiet location. Will certainly be coming back.

Only that we couldn't stay for longer. Next time!

The bungalow is recently refurbished, everything is new and well looked after. It is exceptionally clean. Our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out in the back garden having our cocktails. The location is very good, about a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the shops, pubs, cafes etc. It is downhill, so obviously involves walking uphill on the way home, but it isn't a very big hill. It is quiet at night. The hostess, Charlotte, was easily contactable by phone or text, and was very friendly. We had a drive up to Runswick Bay (15 minutes, long sandy beach) and to Staithes (5 minutes more, very picturesque, art galleries, little museum, shore side pub with outdoor seating). Definitely our new go to accommodation in Whitby.

Location of the property was very good, only a10 minute walk to the centre of Whitby. The property itself was excellent, very clean, everything you needed was provided, and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend this property for a stay in Whitby.

The shower tray in the ensure is quite slippy when wet and the bungalow is situated up a quite steep hill, something Ivwasnt aware of when booking and meant I couldn’t take my mother, who is a wheelchair user, out without driving.

Lovely bungalow with beautiful and stylish furniture and decor

This is a brilliant place to stay if you are visiting Whitby. In fact make it one of your must-do things on your bucket list and stay at Fletchers Rest as it is exceptional in every way imaginable. Whitby is a difficult town to park in, but this property has room for two cars to park privately and as the location was only a very short walk to the town (all downhill) it was a fabulous facility to have private parking. A taxi home from the town to save climing the hill was only £5 - absolutely superb. and well worth it after enjoyable days. The range of individual shops and the choice of eating places were exceptional. Charlotte provided lots of excellent information on everything you could think of and we tried her recommendation of the Magpie Cafe - that was a deserved 10/10 and a seafood lovers paradise - this wee restaurant was really super. A boat trip was £5 each and the Dracula experience which was fun too and we climbed up the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey. Great arcades with loads of 2p machines to make amusements affordable and fun to go to. Our time flew by and we slept-in on the last morning of our stay - the beds are super comfortable and very restful as not a peep of noise could be heard. The living room was immaculate. Both bedrooms were spotless and the main room had an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower - I loved standing allowing the water to cascade on me! The kitchen was a perfect size and had all the facilties to enable a perfect self-catering visit. There was a nice back garden with patio table and chairs. The view over the town (we could see Whitby Abbey) was amazing! I forgot my favourite shoes but Charlotte kindly sent them to me which I really appreciated. If you go to Whitby - make this your first pick (if you can get it) and you'll just say 'wow' at the end of your stay! Thank you Charlotte - 10/10 in every way!

A few more coathangers would have been nice but that's all. There was plenty of drawer space.

Location was great with just a few minutes walk to everything. House was clean and very comfortable. Modern decor and with well equipped kitchen. A nice touch was a welcome card from owners along with some biscuits. Situated on quite a steep hill but not a problem for us. People with walking difficulties might find it hard but the private parking space would help and was a bonus for us. Garden was nice to sit out in and for our grandson to play. We were very happy with everything and would definitely return.

Nothing negative about the property itself. The daily walk down to the bus station past the police station and job centre isn’t the prettiest, but that’s the trade off for having parking whilst being near the town centre.

Spotless, stylish, modern and well maintained with good equipment. Very quiet, tucked away in a cul-de-sac. It can be tough finding parking in Whitby, so parking at property was a real bonus. Lovely, sunny outside seating area. Near the bus stands so we could leave the car and explore the area with public transport.

Couple of minor items needed for the kitchen but nothing critical. Didn’t bother us but some of the more elderly might need to be aware of hill into town/coming back - but it is Whitby after all!

Central location. Short walk to Bus station and sea front. Great coastal walks from the property and also along the river. Very clean. Great hosts.

Having to strip the beds, when on holiday that's one thing I definitely do not want to do.

The beds are super comfy, the place is spotless and modern. The garden is a suntrap although lacking a few flowers. The place is presented very well with a partial view of the Abbey. Charlotte & Andy go the extra mile, it was our anniversary and we were left a bottle of fizz and some biscuits, which was a nice touch. Thankyou.
