Excellent location. Very peaceful and tranquil. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and advise us. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and perfect for our stay. We just wished we could have stayed for longer but will be back!

Conservatory/dining area was a bit chilli in the morning at breakfast but we were just entering autumn so the heating may not have been on yet. Otherwise no issues at all

Friendly staff, lovely dinner and breakfast. Room had a great view of the lake. Relaxed bar area with decent choice of beers and wine. Would highly recommend and happily stay there again

Accounting was poor, at first it was said we hadn't paid, although Booking always took care of it. So we paid by phone with mixed feelings because supposedly neither Booking nor bank transfer or Paypal worked... then a day later Booking informed us that they would debit the overnight stay from our card...🙄

Staff were charming and very welcoming. They are extremely dog friendly. Our Golden Retreiver adored them.

There was nothing not to like.

Food, room and location was lovely but what made it perfect was the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful even though they were short staffed.

The drive in down the dirt track was a bit hairy in the dark, glad we didn’t meet anyone coming the other way. In the morning it was even more difficult getting out but luckily the cars coming down were gracious enough to back up, thank you locals who know the road 👍

Great staff whose company we enjoyed in the bar after a beautiful meal. Met the head chef who had some great tales to tell. Room was lovely and ticked every box. Shame we could only spend a night here but it’s going on the list for next time we are in the area.

The head was a bit broken and didn’t stay attached to the wall so showering was difficult. Sheets also were a bit small for the bed so wouldn’t stay on. Room very clean but felt like restaurant for breakfast could have been a bit cleaner (some lipstick stains on glasses and jam jars etc a bit dusty).

Lovely location and great staff. Room was clean. Breakfast nice. Very dog friendly and staff made a fuss of our dog and made us all welcome. Lovely bar and bar staff. Food was good.

They didn't offer a meal Sunday evening and no prior notice of this which meant we had to drive out again. They were very helpful in getting a place to eat but still would have preferred it on site.

struggled to find our room in the dark! (we were given driving instructions but walked & missed our turn) Breakfast room light & airy but also had many flies including a dead one on our table!!!!!! (breakfast Lovely though)

lovely reception from host, our slightly late late food needs on arrival were catered for no problem & food was excellent. Room & facilities lovely. Parking right outside our Chalet.

when we arrived we were booked into one of the stable rooms which were so small and there was no outside space, we had a small dog with us and as the door led straight out onto the road which leads toward the lodge park so it was just not suitable, we made a request to the staff and they agreed to move us to a lodge which was perfect for us.

the breakfast was lovely and the conservatory where is was served has lovely views of the gardens.
