Breakfast was excellent but evening meals were not as good as they used to be for the money paid. With so many good restaurants in the area, would probably eat out on my next visit.

Location, the room, the friendly staff. This is a lovely hotel.

Excellent location with wonderful sea views from all round the hotel, difficult to find anywhere in the hotel where you were not sitting in comfort gazing at the rolling waves. Staff were very pleasant and helpful

The room wasn't cleaned properly and although we were supposed to be in a superior room, it was more like a standard room with a nice view and in my opinion overpriced for that standard of room.

Location was very good, lovely views and the staff were very helpful.

Room would have benefited from a once over before we arrived; quite dusty, phone handset disconnected and lace curtains ripped. But otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Comfortable room with balcony overlooking town and harbour. Excellent restaurant with good views. Very polite and helpful staff. Comfortable public rooms and good local walking information.

Decor a little dated perhaps and service at dinner was a bit slow.

Fabulous sea view from our room, which was also very spacious and clean. Breakfast was lovely and evening meal was good . Staff very friendly especially as like most hotels etc, they were short staffed.

Appreciate catering for large numbers but our eggs (one fried and one poached) on both mornings were hard. Bacon quite hard and dry. DIY tea and coffee not ideal. Prefer a teapot, milk jug, cups and saucers. To be fair however, great choice of cereals, fresh juices and pastries.

Room was perfect and the view from it absolutely stunning. Very clean. Staff all lovely and very polite.

Felt sorry fir young ones behind the bar they need training. Lots if people asking gif gicktsiks including myself and trey didn’t know his to make them. They asked me. My strawberry daiquiri tasted nothing like I’ve had wise where and served in a tumbler despite other prophets getting cocktail gjasses. Maybe they ran out of them. Chef forgot to put my potatoes and haggis on my plate!

The dining room was lovely. Bedroom a bit tired and fousty smell.

The breakfast was not great which was a shame because the meal yesterday evening was brilliant. Egg over cooked, minimal bacon, and the sausage was awful. Would stay again but just wouldn’t book breakfast.

Great location, the staff were lovely and the evening meal was great. Very reasonably priced bar!

Decor in the room was quite dated. Rooms could do with a fridge. Limited tea bags/ coffee/ sugar/ milk provided for two people. We got one hot drink each out of what was there. The kettle leaked on pouring. The mattress was far too soft. Given the comments above, it seemed expensive. £125 room only. The only option for breakfast was £15 per head. I have cereal and toast, there was no option for this. We decided to have breakfast at the Port Pantry in the village.

The location and views are great. Love that they accept dogs. Room was spacious.
