There is no hot water, we could not bath and no one answer to our request. There was nobody to attend us , was put in a room i did not choose and paid for. i selected and paid for a room of 2 people but was put in a room of 6 as they said that was the available space, if not for the late arrival of our flight, would have neglected this and look for a better place for the night. it was a worst welcome experience on our first day arrival to Newcastle.

There wasn't a sense that it was a place that was looked after, and would look after you. There were some things missing: like soap in the bathroom, and the room had a kettle and tea but no mugs to make it in. The heater in our room wasn't working.

It served the purpose of having a roof over my head for the night, and I was grateful that the owner was responsive to my messages and phone calls. It was also quiet enough to sleep through the night.

The room wasn't available the day we arrived. He send us to different property for 2 days which was better and offer us £40 refund that he never send back. after 2 days we went back to the hotel No coffee/tea facilities , room was smelly

There was never any staff there and no one was ever at reception. any issues or questions I had required me to call their phone number but sometimes I would have to call twice for an answer.

When I had an issue with the shared room, I was able to be moved to another room after speaking with a staff member on the phone which made a big difference

This hostel didn't meet basic hygiene standards! There were trip harzards (buckets) near public toilet at top of stairs, stale old chips and forks stuck in radiadors near beds!? And no receptionists/onsite staff, it's self check in and self checkout with codes, which is pretty unsafe, especially if you were a woman. Plus they gave me the wrong code and when I rang up their head office there was an attitude as if I was an annoyance rather than a customer. The room was dusty and the sofa was dirty looking. No soap in the bathrooms either, so no way to wash hands properly and no towels so had to stand and wet dry after the shower. I know the saying goes 'cheap and cheerful', but I've stayed in much cleaner hostels in England at similar prices. I've also stayed in hostels in deprived parts of South America and Asia which had better hygiene standards, better customer service and basic facilities such as towels and soap!

Staff member who greeted me didn’t speak a word of English and stunk of alcohol and the lock on the room door was broken leaving it unsecured.

We were left standing outside in the rain for over an hour trying to get inside. Called serval of times to get no answers. Once we finally got in, we were welcomed to a disgusting smell of weed. Bathrooms was vile, no toilet rolls and soap. Showers looked like it has never been cleaned. I tried to get a refund but was declined. We never stayed at the property, we had to find elsewhere as the rooms we were in didn’t have locks. Felt unsafe and had uncertainty if we were going to get back in the building after 3am.

Absolutely nothing. It’s a disgrace.

Makes Faulty towers look like the Hilton. No entry on arrival. Wasnt forwarded code for door. Met x2 other guest also trying to gain access. We were outside freezing for 40mins before a resident let us in and directed us to a member of staff who had been too busy watching the darts to answer the door. Staff member had no idea of what was going on. Had to call owner several times just to check us in. Took another 40mins, and in the end we all picked a room rather than given one. The story about the drug den in room 5 was pretty encouraging along with the outward racist comments abouts those cooking up in said room. All in all, the worst place I have ever slept,,, and considering myself and the other guests are all military and been to places like Iraq,,, says all you need to know really.

There was absolutely nothing to like,, apart from being able to leave in one piece the next morning
