How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We checked in the family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. But only a double bed was given. Spoke to reception and then they extended the sofa bed for us while we were there. Sofa bed not very comfortable but bearable. Guess you pay what you get.
Breakfast was good.

Lovey staff, great carpark, good food. We had a small issue with our room which was resolved quickly, no fuss. Always a pleasure to stop over on our way to Pembrokeshire.

The air condition was noisy which is disturbing. The shower seriously lacks power.
OK size room, beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean. Windows open for fresh air (not all hotels allow you to open the windows)

It was very stuffy because of the air con. View of a pylon.
The breakfast, the size of the room, the bed, the shower. Such an easy stop over for the M4. Very quiet considering the proximity to the motorway. The kids loved it.

There was a bad smell in the room, possibly drains from the sink or shower. The breakfast tables weren't very clean, there was food on the floor from what looked like the night before.
The check in was smooth and welcoming even though we arrived late in the evening. The family room was larger than I had expected and the sofa bed was made up as requested. Overall the stay was very good.

Bath/ shower panel is rusting on the toilet side, leaving sharp edges. I really don’t like the bathroom/toilet swing door - it takes up too much space and the latch is noisy at night. Charge an extra £25 for the dog, a dog friendly hotel should include the dog fee within the room charge. The air conditioning unit was noisy. The fan in the bathroom is noisy. The place could do with a renovation. Given the price - very good value for money!
Hotel is in a convenient location. Food is served until 9pm, so suitable for a late check in. Menu is small but quality of food was great. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were allocated a ground floor room, which we had requested. Plenty of space to walk dogs. Clean, tidy room and communal areas. Brilliant price, which includes breakfast.

there was a stain in front of the sofa on the carpet. Only 2 tea bags were provided we both drink tea, However the receptionist got us some more, see above this was a plus and minus. Breakfast was adequate food was nice though not much hot choice. I do not like scrambled eggs, fresh tomatoes or beans so meant just hash brown and bacon I do not normally eat sausages but these were ok I had 1 I do not eat bread so limited option would have loved a poached or boiled egg and some mushrooms.
if you disregarded the motorway which you could barley see the view was fantastic. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. A choice of pillows soft/ firm was a great idea. There were only 2 teabags provided we both drink tea when speaking to reception there was no issue as they got us 4 more.
