    poor quality toilet roll

breakfast was alright some guests were a little greedy with the croissants, although we always found something we liked, beds were great just the way we like them, staff very helpful location was fine we used public transport(bus) to visit Newcastle easily accessible, free parking on site excellent, plenty of eating places very near by . Suggestion to IHG a small fridge in room would be icing on the cake,oh and better quality toilet roll

Food choice was poor, and most things they had ran out off, but a great pub across the road to fill that void 👍👍

Friendly staff, nice room, exactly what you would expect 🤙🤙

The location is tricky to reach by bus. We arrived from central Newcastle on the frequent bus service, but had to cross a dangerous dual carriageway to get to the hotel. A crossing of some sort is needed. We later discovered a secluded footpath from the Metrocentre bus station. It's about a 10 minute walk but would be inadvisable in the dark or for lone travellers.

Tasty buffet breakfast with hot and cold food on offer. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms.

The price on booking.com appeared to change, as I stayed 2 nights and had different prices for each day. This was surprising, as I was sure it was one price and I selected 2 nights. This appeared to be a booking.com issue, so I can't blame the hotel.

Good priced hotel, in a good location, with friendly and helpful staff. Free parking, free breakfast also.

I got an excellent price, just £55 on a Sunday night, and everything was as you'd expect from a HI Ex. Plus there's a nice walk nearby - the hotel is at the spot where the River Derwent joins The Tyne.
