Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe phoned three times to ask about how much the car park was. The first time the phone was answered then was cut off. The second time, no one answered. The third time the person on reception seemed not to know about how much the parking was- we asked but they said they didn't. That was quite important information not to know. There was very little for vegetarians at breakfast- we usually expect to see veggie sausages and mushrooms. There were several vegetarians in our party.
The location was great and the room was very nice.

United KingdomThe rooms become very very small when the sofa bed is in use. You cannot walk past the beds without some difficulty once the sofas have been made up for the night. People with mobility issues may find it difficult if they are sharing the room and requested an extra bed to be made. The toilet in our room smelt like a urinal :( It would have been nice if there is a room spray to use to get rid of the smell, or maybe the cleaners need to request stronger cleaning products when cleaning the bathroom toilet. The room wall was previously damaged where the sofa bed was made up, there is a hole in the wallpaper where the wall was damaged. We stayed in room 328.
The property is conveniently situated in the heart of Leeds city centre, with a multi-storey car park just next door. Opposite the Armouries it is a fantastic place for families looking to explore Leeds. Greeted by friendly staff members upon check in and with a cooked breakfast included in the price it is a a value stay for families on a budget. I like how we received messages about our upcoming stay with recommendations on what’s to do and how to get around. I like the simple selection of hot food and continental options for breakfast with unlimited portions if you feel like it. The bed was in my opinion very comfortable and the linens were soft and the pillows for me were just right and fluffy. Depending on what side of the hotel you are you may get a nice view from your window if you are on the higher level floor.

United KingdomWould have been helpful to have lighting closer to the mirror in the room as the nearest light was backlit from the bathroom. Not a major issue and may have been specific to my room!
Loads of breakfast options including different types of milk for all preferences. Room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent as next to reasonably priced parking and just 15 minutes walk into the city centre. All information such as wifi login available in the room and given by staff at the desk. Desk and chair included in the room perfect for setting up a laptop for zoom/teams calls.

United KingdomBeing unable to get a taxi, not the hotels fault. It was a 30 min walk to the venue with help from Google maps. Not much else to fault.
I booked for an overnight stay after a music concert in the city centre. Got a fantastic rate for 3 people. Sofa bed was already made on arrival. Parking next door which was easy to find.

United KingdomI was a little concerned about one of the breakfast serving staff. She had her long hair tied up high in a ponytail and it was falling down either side of her head when she moved about. She was bringing bowls of food out, for example scrambled eggs and her hair was hanging over the bowls as she carried them. This had potential for a strand of hair to fall into the food.
Lovely hotel in a wonderful part of Leeds. Easy access to city centre, lots of options for breakfast and the staff really looked after you.

United KingdomJust a couple of minor issues: 1. The staff was very kind, but apparently they were working at the same time doing another tasks (I could see this) so, every single time I went to the reception desk to ask a question or to request something I had to be waiting for a while. This hotel does not have someone behind the desk permanently (and it's a big one). To flush the water of the toilet was a titanic task. You have to be pressing the button with all your strength for quite a few seconds until the water was released. Only one of the buttons worked (the large one) the other one did not. When I commented this issue, and I said that must be very difficult for elderly people, a girl told me that this is a common issue across the rooms in the hotel, so I hope it can be fixed soon.
Good location in a peaceful area. I liked the size of the room, the comfort of the bed, the great window and the views and I enjoyed the breakfast (which is basically what we all want when we are in a hotel).

United KingdomNot so much a didn't like. The room had a lot of positives , comfortable , clean and tidy with a great shower. They were a bit on the small side , particularly the bathroom/shower room . Overall though happy with the facilities
The Hotel is in a lovely location , next to the museum and the dock/canal. Although initially concerned it might be too far out of the centre it was only 15/20 mins walk and was in fact a good place to be based because of the pleasant surroundings. The downstairs bar was good and well used when we visited , breakfasts were excellent and its great that they were included in the cost.
