Owners were welcoming and engaging. Peter and Izzy made us feel at home. The room, lounge and breakfast room spotless. Choice of breakfast menu was excellent and food enjoyable and plentiful. There were a number of personal touches included which made the rooms interesting telling stories and paintings which added quality to the premises and less like a plain b&b and more like your home. Decor of the rooms was fresh and pleasant. When we visit the area again we shall certainly choose Exmoor House for our stay.

The warm welcome. Peter even booked us a table at the pub across the road for dinner. Incredible attention to detail. Very comfortable. Loved the fridge with fresh milk and orange juice. The breakfast was hearty, beautifully presented with high quality ingredients.

What a fantastic few days! Izzy and Peter are brilliant hosts; funny, charming and great company! The house is in a perfect spot, it’s peaceful with gorgeous views and plenty of parking. We had a really comfortable room and bed and slept so well, then woke up to the most delicious breakfast. There’s a guest lounge with a bar, pool table, darts and various games. Everything you could ever want from an escape away and great value for money. Highly recommended!!

Warm welcome from Issy and Peter.Help with luggage appreciated.Overall impression was how clean and bright the property is in all areas. Every aspect of our stay was thought of, our Cocker poo Tasha was also well catered for! We all say a big thank you for a wonderful stay.

So friendly, clean, warm, and lovely decor inside. Breakfast was superb, both the full English and vegetarian option. The eggs were remarkable,such a rich yolk colour and taste The traditional Inn across the road had a lovely woodburner to have a pint or 2 of cider to dry out in!!!!!

Exmoor House is very well run - everything was excellent. There was good attention to detail, warm and welcoming hospitality, a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast. The couple that run it go the extra mile for their guests and ensure all your needs are met.

There was not anything that I did not like

Could not ask for better hosts who because I have an elderly dog and walk with a stick helped me with my luggage and my dog. Room was a good size and freshly decorated and even had dog biscuits and chocolates for us. Breakfast had lots of choices and freshly cooked to order. Definitely recommend

The interiors are lovely - the rooms are really nicely decorated and everywhere was very clean. There are lots of thoughtful touches throughout, including lovely smelling bathroom products; real milk in the bedrooms; and large comfortable beds.

Absolutely loved the little touches, dog biscuits as well as a good selection of human ones. Doggy poo bags and wipes. Great selection of tea and coffee. There was nothing else the hosts could do to make you feel more welcome. Breakfast was superb ( great poached eggs!). All in all one of the best places we've stayed. Thank you for being such great hosts

There were little touches in the very comfortable rooms setting the stay apart from similar offerings. The biscuit selection was exceptional with great coffee & fresh milk in the room only to be surpassed by the breakfast.

Nothing could not have been better

We loved our stay, Izzy & Peter are great hosts very welcoming. Beautifully decorated room,spotlessly clean lots of extra touches, chocolates,biscuits chilled orange juice,water and fresh milk,very comfortable beds,good sized en-suite. Breakfast was fantastic ,fresh local produce nicely cooked generous portions with view over Dunkery beacon. Central base for exploring Exmoor and Quantocks

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Kindness, friendliness of the hosts. We were treated like VIPs. Nothing was too much to ask. Izzy and Peter were very helpful and even prepared a small surprise for us in the restaurant room so we could have our takeaway diner (candle lights and decoration on our table included :-) ). Lounge, open bar and pool table with Alexa (music) was cosy. Very tasty home made breakfast always with a smile. (The film we talked about is "Saving Ned Devine" :-). The other one "Angels Share").

I didn’t dislike anything at all it was perfect !

The entire place was spotlessly clean, the most comfortable beds and every little detail in the room had been carefully considered. Plus dog friendly.
