Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAsked for a face cloth as it was on the signs in room, they didn’t have any and offered a towel 🙈 Not enough cups supplied in the room. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Cutlery was dirty at breakfast.

This is the second time I've stayed here overnight in order to go to a show, have meals with friends and do other things in the city before going home to the Scottish Borders. I've had a double room for single occupancy on the fifth floor both times and found those rooms really quiet and comfortable. As a solo traveller, I felt perfectly safe. The breakfast, which is included in the price, is plentiful and tasty, with a good variety of options. I arrived a couple of hours before the 3 pm check in to find that, perfectly understandably, the room I had been allocated wasn't ready. The very helpful young woman at reception immediately gave me an identical room on the fifth floor which was ready, so I was able to leave my luggage in my room before meeting my friend to go to the theatre. I could have left my luggage at reception, because I know the hotel offers that facility, but I didn't need to, which was great.

United KingdomThe room was very warm so window was open at night. I am a heavy sleeper so didn’t hear anything but my friend is a light sleeper and was woken up a few times by the loud noise of bins being emptied at night.

Everything was excellent! From the ballet just around the corner, for the excellent meal in the restaurant next door, to the lovely welcome from the hotel staff, the comfortable room and a lovely breakfast, what more could we ask?
